Game #32: Detroit @ Los Angeles Angels, May 1st, 2025, 9:38 EST

Damn this is crazy.

Greene is up to .264.
Tork is down to .234

Can we ever get them both hot at the same time ?
Update
Greene .262
Tork .239
I don't mind if Tork hits around .240 as long as he is having good ABs and hitting HRs.

.240 with OBP of .340 and 35+ HRs will be a really good season.

The Tigers have the most wins before May 1st, in franchise history. The 1984 Tigers were 18-2 on April 29th-April 30th. This team: 19-12 on April 30th.

Baez robbed a homer today .
I was in absolute awe of that play. i almost feel bad about talking shit about his hitting the past 3 years.

The guy has god-like defensive skills.

And his reaction was the same as it was after he strikes out for the 20th time in a row. "meh".

Something to think about... His trade value has never been higher, and may never be this high again :)

The reason his 2023 season wasn't smoking success even with 31 home runs was because his defense was atrocious. Just dragged everything down. He might not win a GG but the defense has improved a lot. So .230 31 HR season would be fine.

Spencer Torkelson is hitting .195 in his last 24 games.

With Kenta Mayday Maeda DFA'ed, team saved 2M of the 10M.. let’s move on now.. Brieske will be activated Monday. Tyler Owens will wear uniform #62.

Kenta Maeda is released, he will finish with the 5th highest ERA in Tigers franchise history (min 120IP):
1 - Brian Williams (6.77)
2 - Greg Keagan (6.76)
3 - Scott Aldred (6.65)
4 - Victor Frazier (6.52)
5 - Kenta Maeda (6.21)
6 - Jess Doyle (6.07)
7 - Jose Lima (6.04)

Tigers starting pitchers combined to post a 2.80 ERA in April, the team's best mark in the month since 1984 (2.45 ERA).

Javy Báez’s best night for Tigers had him looking like Mike Trout in center field.
