The Detroit Tigers have tweaked their tv broadcast crew for the 2025 season. Jason Benetti is being paired primarily with Dan Petry and Andy Dirks.
You’ve had a month now to watch both pairings. What do you think? Which partner of Benetti’s do you like more?

Today, we’ve got TWO polls for you. We’re asking you to grade each broadcast team.
Let’s get to it!

I voted D and D. I think they all suck, although I like Petry a little better than Dirks.

I really hate late west coast games. I missed all of the fireworks.
I am unable to stay up late anymore. Gone are the late games I watched on MLB extra innings when it was a reasonable price and saw everything. I will never forget that game that was delayed for hours against the Yankees on a Friday night and Carlos Guillen hit a walk off homerun in the rain. Time ended was about 3:00 am Saturday morning.

I gave Benetti and Petry and A
and Benetti and Dirks a B

I think most every pair of announcers are doing these non baseball conversations instead of calling more of the games balls and strikes and plays in the field. We are from a different era when that was how a game was called. Curt Gowdy Ernie Harwell, Vin Scully.

to be fair, I haven't heard Petry much this year. I'm with you though, it seems like they spend most of the broadcast talking about is stupid shit that has nothing to do with the game, or baseball in general. I'll be watching the game, thinking to myself, "can both of you guys just STFU!" :ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO:

I felt that regularly when I had the MLB extra innings package and certain teams announcers had non stop talk while the game was going about stupid stuff and then in the stands with fans. Usually the other central division teams were the ones most guilty. Also the angels and another AL team were bad.
