Sparky Anderson once said “You can’t tell anything about a baseball team until 40 games have been played.”
The Tigers now have played 42.

Best in the American League. Second best in all of MLB (through Monday’s games).
They have won 9 series and lost 4, having played a mix of both good, average and bad teams. Out of those 4, only the Dodgers are a tough team. The others are playing around .500.
After a series where they destroyed MLB-worst Colorado Rockies, the Tigers, in turn, were man-handled by the Texas Rangers.
However, Texas, despite their record, is believed to have 1 of MLB’s best starting rotations.

Now that we’ve hit Sparky’s milestone for evaluation, how good is this Tigers team?
Are they the dominant team we’ve been seeing or is it simply too early to judge? Will this team come down to earth?

I voted too early to tell, but I honestly think that they will come down to earth a little bit. They are on pace to win 105 games. I don't think there is a chance in hell they win that many.

the entire ending was pretty funny. Javy hit it and just stopped and stared. The catcher immediately flipped his helmet off and had a disgusting look on his face. The funniest thing about that, is the ball probably only carried over the fence by 5 or 6 feet. It wasn't like it was a no doubter. It just goes to show you how these guys just "know"

Putting his hands up was the most emotion i've seen from Javy in a tiger's uniform.

Including the 500+ strikeouts we have seen the last 3 years.. Guy stays pretty leveled.
