Just heard on the radio show out of Detroit (97.1 fm) the tigers have won 12 of 15 series. This is the first time since 2006 the tigers have had the best record in baseball after 50 games.

Tigers were 35-15 after 50 games in 2006. Next 10 games they went
3-7 and had a 4 game losing streak. After game 61 the 2006 tigers were 38-23 and then exploded for a 17-3 stretch the next 20 games. after game 82 they were 56-26. They did end up choking the division away and finished 95-67. 1 game back.

Some Perspective.
STL was 17-4 prior to this series, they were 8-2 in their last 10. They routed DET in the opener and for the next 18 innings they were executed into dust in 2 straight losses in the own ballpark..welcome to Tigers baseball 2025 now 33-14 since LA. 14-5 in May.

We've won 12 of our first 16 series in a season for the first time since 1984 (13-1-2).

If the Tigers are looking internal for bullpen help, two arms that are in the system that may get some consideration with some swing and miss capabilities. Dylan Smith and Freddy Pacheco, who is continuing his rehab assignment and now heading to West Michigan.

Three of Flaherty's pitches that caught a fair piece of the strike zone were called balls, resulting in a walk and an extended at bat for Santana that resulted in a double and two runs. The equivalent pitches to our batters were strikes. and the last pitch to Sweeney was definitely farther outside than Flaherty's pitches.

Toledo Mudhens. (25-23) finally over .500 after the.
terrible start.
Remain smoking hot sweeping a doubleheader today by scores of
2-1, and 5-0. That is four wins in a row. Manning had a clean inning.

Jung hit another minor league homer in game #2. Three tiger pitchers combined for a 2 hitter. Enns had 8 k’s 1 bb. Vanasco had 5 and 0 as he picked up the won. Indianapolis falls to 26-20 after the sweep.
