4-26 this year when they don't hit any Home Runs. that is horrendous Scott Harris.

1 hit through 5 innings for the famine offense.

loser GIF

Im just so shocked that the first reliever that big brain AJ uses gives up an instant hit for a run.

The list of teams in MLB history to hit five homers and strike out 18 times in a nine-inning game: Detroit Tigers, 6-15-2026.

Bryce Rainer in June: 294/390/647 3HR 6BB.

James Outman so far 1/9 6K.

Zack McKinstry since 7/2/2025:
.205/.285/.352.385 PA 77 wRC+
not a small sample size.

From yesterday: Jahmai Jones now 0 for his last 21, 1 for his last 34, and 2 for his last 45.

Kevin McGonigle is on pace to reach base 268 times this season. If that pace continues, his total would rank among the highest in recent memory for any player before the end of their age-21 campaign.
Below are the highest single-season totals since 2000.

Tigers could actually buy early ahead of trade deadline and take advantage of cratering Red Sox.
MCBTB

Harris won't do this, he will wait for one of the 1B minor leaguers to take over for Tork.
A team that is 16 games under .500 trading for a 34 year old 1B, what a stupid idea.

Tigers' Wenceel Pérez struck in face by training band in accident.
The Detroit Tigers have another injury.
This time, it's an unusual injury from an accident in the training room.
Outfielder Wenceel Pérez was struck in the face by a plyometric band in the training room Tuesday, June 16, during his typical postgame routine after the Tigers' 4-2 loss to the Houston Astros in the second of three games at Daikin Park.

Boxscore.

Mize returns but Tigers can’t solve Astros’ pitching.
The Tigers dropped a second close game in a row and lost the series.
BYBTB

Tigers fall to Astros in finale, lose another road series.
The Tigers lost another road series on Wednesday, dropping the rubber match against the Houston Astros, 4-2, at Daikin Park.
They have won just two of 13 road series this season and now come home Friday 14 games under .500. Meaning, despite a brief flurry of wins at the start of June, they find themselves farther out of contention than they were in the woebegone days of May.
Detnews

Detroit Tigers held to 3 hits in loss to Astros as Casey Mize returns.
The Detroit Tigers mustered three hits.
If not for Kerry Carpenter hitting a home run in the seventh inning and Kevin McGonigle doing the same in the ninth inning, the Tigers would've been shut out in a 4-2 loss to the Houston Astros on Wednesday, June 17, in the finale of the three-game series at Daikin Park.
Right-hander Peter Lambert led the way for the Astros in an 88-pitch masterpiece, allowing one run on two hits, no walks and one hit-by-pitch with five strikeouts across seven innings.

keep the losses coming. Let's burn this thing down once again.
If they do the only two position players on the roster will be McGonigle and Keith.
Another 5 year plan.
If the smartest guy in the room is still the pobo we should expect more of the same 4AAAA players recycled.
AND if Hinch is still the manager we should expect more switching players around for his fn matchups.

tigers minor leagues
Toledo (32-38)
Blew a 4-3 late and lost in extras 6-5 in 11 innings .
They had 9 hits. Dont really care . Harris isn’t going to use them.
Used 7 pitchers . Hit a few homers

Box
==================
Erie (33-31)
Bombed 11-6 Final.
Erie had 12 hits.

Box

==========================
West Michigan (23-40)
Cancelled
=========================
Lakeland (30-34)
Clean slate every tiger team that played lost tonight.
Blasted 9-5 Final.

Box

====================

Last year was much better

So yesterday
Tigers 5 hits lost (4-2)
Mudhens 5 hits lost (2-1). Other team had 2 hits.
Erie only had 5 hits but won. (3-1) final.
WM only had 5 hits but won (4-1) final.
Lakeland had 6 hits lost (6-4)

Today
Tigers had 3 Hits (lost 4-2 again)
Toledo had 9 hits (lost 6-5 in 11)
Erie had 12 hits lost 11-6
WM cancelled
Lakeland 8 hits in a loss 9-5

It’s starting to feel Harris held on to his prospects to long.
But more than likely some will move on or get traded and probably have better coaching then we can give them in Detroit .

The hitting coaches should be fired.

IT’S NOT JUST ABOUT THE ARM.
Totally Tigers

I agree that the signing was good as far as bringing him back to Detroit. It certainly hasn't helped the team win. But to be fair to JV, almost none of the signings made by Harris have helped the team in the win/loss column.

This team is so depressing. They have 2 promising position players, maybe one pitcher, and nothing in the minor leagues to get excited about, besides MAYBE Clark. What a dumpster fire.
