What if Stephen Ross builds a big **** You to the NCAA down in Miami? This would essentially be UofM property, thus legal for Michigan students to travel there. This is not farfetched in my mind and could be an unbelievable blow to the NCAA trying to handicap football. Think about a facility where the softball team and baseball team can have home games for the first part of their schedule down south or even just train. Homework would be done via online. This would be an unbelievable idea in my mind. What say you?

I think the real issue people have isn't that the team went to Florida, it's that they went to a place that was loaded with recruits. If we had our own place, there wouldn't be any recruits there.

Attendance would be free and it would be a constant on all the local sports/news programs. Plenty of recruits would take notice and arrive for camps that would be held there.

On the flip side, I have no idea if this would be legal in the NCAAs eyes. But what would happen is that if it was a loophole and the NCAA came down on it, Harbaugh would have a valid lawsuit against the NCAA that it was personal and directed towards him.

I like that they might be going to. Rome now

Also telling that big ten athletes in the panel were against the ban

The NCAA is a collection of spineless imps who are beholden to the SEC above all other conferences

I love the trip to Rome idea. Anything that pushes back the Spring game...I think you all know about how I feel about being outside in AA on April 1st...it's sketchy to say the least.

With all the earthquakes Italy has been suffering over the last 2yrs, there may not be an Italy left.

Anyway the 1percenter thread is what got me thinking outside the box. There are so many 1% that are Alumni that it wouldnt surprise me if they were all pretty pissed and pooled some money together for a sports complex that could be considered campus property. Michigan has a campus out here in Wyoming for earth sciences, Camp Davis. Too bad there are no recruits in Jackson Hole. They could practice here non-stop...............in 3 feet of snow.

Wouldn't going outside the country completely negate any opportunity for recruits to attend? I like the idea of buying a Michigan facility in Florida or some other southern state. Screw the NCAA!

Yeah. I don't think it will be a recruiting trip, but recruits will notice it and say, "Hey! That's cool. If I go to Michigan, maybe while I'm there, we will do something similar."

It will still sell.

Plus the SEC and ESPN (same thing) will make a huge deal of it, which will cause it to sell even more.
