Hey shaggy are you doing anything about the spammers????

Bump to the first page from the 5th page after over 80 f'n spam threads.

Why can't these be stopped and the threads removed?

I don't think the mods/owners of the site pay any attention to it.
I am concerned about this and we have a nonparticipating owner.
The previous thread(s) and posts might have been removed by one of the owners who are still active here but don’t have access to how to remove the spam threads even though one of them was able to remove the threads that were previously here. Doesn’t make any sense.

@Griffin or @Shaggy,

I highly advise that you turn on admin approval for registrations until these spam attacks are mitigated. I just used the anti-spam function at least 100 times. Give me some admin perms and I can solve the issue as well.

I assume you are referring to me. I have moderator permissions, just like you, so I can remove posts, ban users, etc. I don't have administrator permissions, so I cannot adjust any settings to prevent these spam bots to keep doing what they're doing. @Griffin and @Shaggy are the only ones with administrator permissions.

I delete everything and then two minutes later, there's five more new accounts posting shit. Please don't let this kill this place, @Griffin

No cam, I was referring to the new owner. You explained about the lack of administrator privileges before in one of the threads that were recently removed from this forum.
It would be great if Griffin was able to give you some administrative privileges to physically remove the posts in all the Detroit sports forums.

Gotcha.

I would just keep in mind that only staff members are the ones that can still see that deleted content. Members can't see those lists of spam threads that you are seeing. Hopefully they can just set it up so that all of those spam threads are automatically moved to a trash forum when the anti-spam tool is used.

I see they are really working hard on fixing the spam problem. Most of the threads are spam
I’ve only heard from cam.
I see Griffin online but no contact.

The worst part of these spammers is that the threads they create stay and are yet to be removed by shaggy or griffin. If they gave cam or someone else the authority to remove the spam posts the forums would look normal again.
Now I wait to see if this post is removed like several other posts in this thread from the past week.
