HUGE game in East Lansing this weekend

I was about to post my recollections of the 1985 Michigan Iowa game but somebody interrupted me with a text message and everything I had written is gone.

But that's OK.

I'll catch up later.

maybe that person was responding to a text you sent - one that woke up his wife up at 1am. Is it possible that losing the post had more to do with the number of Budwiesers or Mickey's big mouths than someone responding to your text?

It's just not true that anyone can upset any team. Purdue could not beat Alabama 100 out of 100 times.

Good for you on being optimistic on our chances against OSU. I'll just expect the worst/norm. Probably will be about 45 - 20.

Michigan is good this year but personally, I think OSU is the best team in the conference. I don't like to play the PSU beat OSU and mich smoked PSU so michigan is better. michigan is good enough to beat osu but I think right now, osu probably wins that game 60% of the time. I've watched michigan more this year so hopefully I'm overestimating the buckeyes but what michigan has showed me in the last few weeks has been underwhelming - they're certainly not playing up to the level of the hype.

And can we all agree Peppers is kind of overrated? he's a great athlete, probably the best athlete on the field against most if not all opponents but keep the guy on defense, maybe punt returns. He's not winning the heisman so why bother with the wildcat crap. Hint, hint, defenses have figured it out EVERYBODY in the stadium knows what going to happen when they see that formation.

I agree with a lot of this post. Never been on board the Peppers for Heisman bandwagon, and he does not compare to Charles Woodson as a game changer. He is a tremendous athlete and obviously incredibly versatile, but he does not impact the game the same way Woodson did. I too am sick of seeing him on offense. It seems just like a waste to me, and an unnecessary risk to getting him injured. They should at least try to be more creative with getting him the ball, or use him as a decoy at this point.

The rush defense has slipped for sure lately. Guys are now whiffing on tackles and getting juked whereas before they were burying guys on contact. Michigan can beat OSU if they bring their best game, but that is doubtful at this point. They've looked mediocre in their 2 big road games this year.

I have hated the existence of this ****ing thread from the moment I saw it.

"Oh hey, I have an idea? Let's just poke the ****ing tiger in fact let's just take a broom stick and shove it right up the Tigers ****ing ass hole and let's see what happens?."

Why? It's not like we were playing MSU this weekend. There are no Iowa fans here. I wasn't poking anyone in a position to do or say anything about it.

I'm glad us losing by 1 on a last second FG to Iowa made State fans happy. They've been down in the dumps for a while now. They got to enjoy Michigan losing, and their team proving it is only the 2nd worst team in the conference, all in one weekend. Big moment for them.

Iowa would've clobbered them as well though.

A lot has been said about Peppers' versatility but you're not going to stop a solid rushing team with him playing LB at 205 or whatever size he is - he's either got to be a corner or safety or put on some lbs if he wants to stay there next year. If Harbaugh insists on using him on offense, make him a receiver and use him on occasional reverses if you want him to run the ball. The wildcat might work against IU but it's not going to go anywhere against osu or in the playoff.

I had gone to see John Cleese and Eric Idle the night before so there had been an amount of Mickey's in the prior 24 hour with more than a snoot full of Jack Daniels mixed in too.
