"I wish Verlander was a True Ace"

"I wish Verlander was a True Ace"

Hate to say this, but his post season games have not been ace performances IMO 3-3 and an era of 5.57,whip of 1.55 and o those HR's given up not so bad this year, thank goodness.
And of course the weather did have an outcome of one of the games this year.

But really he has not shown up in post games,as big of an ace should! Think about it he has pitched in 8 games and won 3! That's an .375 win to game pitched! Throw out the weather game BTW he got the lost. And it only .428win to games pitched. An ACE got to win 50% or better of his games!!!!!!! Yes he has taken steps foward and did go 2-1 this playoffs rounds and that is ACE worthly, and yes the offense did not show in one of his loses. But he's given up way too many runs so far in the post season.
Still he is as good as the Tigers have and as good as most have as well. And ranks in the Tigers all time top 10 so far,IMO.

"I wish Verlander was a True Ace"

Well considering all of the rain delays and rotation flip flopping etc, I'll give him a pass. This was an odd post season.

"I wish Verlander was a True Ace"

I'm not sure I would count this post season for him either. His starts were shortened, starts were moved up etc. Rain, rain, rain. And his last post season he was a young noob.

"I wish Verlander was a True Ace"

Justin Verlander is an Ace, signed "The immediate world"
JV is not an ace, signed chico.

Monster, you gotta let that twit back on here. He's an idiot.....but I want to hear his "year of the pitcher so this is a watered down unanimous Cy Young Award" defense.

He'll just say it was a fluke year and that he doubts Verlander can continue it.

"I wish Verlander was a True Ace"

Justin Verlander is voted the AL MVP by the BBWAA.
The AL Cy Young AND the AL MVP in the same year.
Pretty good for a non Ace.

"I wish Verlander was a True Ace"

Um...Verlander brings the rain...so he can't be an ace. lol

"I wish Verlander was a True Ace"

MVP and Cy Young? Poo poo, I'll need to see him repeat the feat for 2012 and maybe 2013 before he's an ace.

If Verlander is not an Ace, then there are no aces in baseball.

If he truly was an ace....he would have found a way to get the win!

If he truly was an ace, he would have hooked me up with luxury boxes at Comerica and Michigan Stadium for life, a great condo in Ann Arbor for the MLB and college football seasons, cool bitchin' wheels to drive from Ann Arbor to Detroit for the Tiger games, along with about 100 Little Caesar's Pizza franchises across the country.
