Laettner whining about Fab 5 documentary

Defensive a bit sbee..
Jeez he is just making a statement which is true. Flashback early 90's living in Vegas.. Sitting at the apt whirlpool. I whole group of Running Rebels Pulled up in nice fancy cars..

I also know a tutor who help MSU football players this would be before Mark D era.. She said and I quote.

'I have know idea how 90% made it into college'
Don't worry she helped them pass as she graduated from MSU as a engineer and now works at University of Michigan LOL..

Don't be so na?ve to think it did not happen all the time around the NCAA landscape.
What I was arguing against was a parallel between MSU basketball under Jud and the fab five. The fact that he specifically wouldn't deal with Ed Martin hurt MSU for years but helped in the long run, MSU didn't get a detroit PSL player between steve smith and Maurice ager, that's about 15 years. If you don't think that's significant for a program I don't know what to say. There is no comparison to Michigan at that time, they were dirty and it's naive to think webber was the first to take money when Terry mills was offered as well.

As for your friend and MSU football, of course we take kids that wouldn't get in otherwise because they are exceptional athletes. If course they take less challenging majors and get help from tutors because they couldn't do the work otherwise. That's how it is at just about every program other than northwestern. We just don't pretend otherwise. If you were just trying to use some ammo against MSU, that's fine but your friends story has nothing to do with the fab five discussion. Saying that players weren't serious scholars doesn't compare to the biggest player payment scandal in NCAA basketball.

He's just butt hurt because he takes these things personally.

Ed. Martin made Izzo & State what it is. Had Martin been a Sparty fan, he'd have sent kids to Lansing instead and did have contact with the Flintstones back then.

Icy I94 with Mateen Cleaves in the car. Cheater got caught and got off and the rest is Sparty hoops glory

Little man Vic showing his little ego again, it just kills you that Michigan's basketball history is incredibly tainted. Heathcote had his chance with Martin but told him to f off, therfore we didn't get any detroit players for a decade, but you wouldn't know anything about that. Martin was a Michigan fan, he got hotel rooms with the team and free tickets from the athletic department but he paid kids that went to Syracuse and other schools but steered kids away from MSU because izzo and Heathcote wouldn't deal with him.

We chose not to dance with the devil, Michigan did and paid the price, they had a little glory in the short term but a tainted legacy of cheating because of it. If the SUV never skidded off the road the cheating might have never been exposed. You're right there, michigan might have gotten some players that starred at MSU.

is that a really strong argument, saying michigan would have been better had the cheating never been exposed? Your argument is so weak vic, but little vic just can't fathom that his glorious Alma matter was dirty and paid the price, he can't accept it like a man and move on. Some Michigan fans can, but napoleon can't.
