I wonder how long Red will stick around ?I hope he stays few more years .Man losing all the great players we had last year has really made this a young team .
Michigan was swept on the road 5-2 and 4-2 , and fell to 8-11-1 overall and 1-5 in the big ten . Up next is a home and home with msu who is also struggling at 4-15-1 and 0-6.

Don't feel too bad, at least your school still gives a rats ass about the sport. Meanwhile at MSU Tom Anastos keeps a job while turning a solid program into a bottomfeeding laughingstock. Mark Hollis has done an absolutely disgraceful job the past few seasons at the helm.

Yeah, we've watched a few M Hockey games but they're frustrating this season ...gravitated more towards the local DU Pioneers who are very solid (my son did Jr Pioneers Hockey at DU too)

Why would anyone in their right mind want Red to stick around? The uncertainty he brings is the biggest part of the problem. The teams the past few years have been regressing horribly! Don't let the "success" from last year fool you, this has been a long time coming and it's time for a change.

I tend to agree. I love Red but I think the program needs to turn to a new coach.

I made the mistake of failing to show my admiration for Red in the original post. I have a puck that he autographed for me back in 1996. I was a a Michigan vs. Miami game in Oxford with my sister (who was a Miami student at the time) and was wearing my Michigan coat. We get to our seats and the guy next to us asked me if I was a big Michigan fan (I was 10 at the time, so not a dumb question, just friendly). Turns out the guy worked for the Michigan athletic department in some capacity. He took down my name and address and a week later I got the autographed puck and a program from a game at Yost.

And few months later I watched in person in Cincinnati as that same team beat Colorado College in OT, I still remember seeing Morrison put the rebound past the helpless goalie and losing my mind. That was Red's first championship as a coach if I remember correctly. Morrison got screwed out of the Honey (kinda like Connor last year) and Turco was spectacular that year.

I want to live that again. I really wish Red could be the one to do it. Sadly, I don't think he's the one to take us there.

We had the offense to do it last year but sadly the defense still lags and has lagged under Red. I love him but it may be time for him to leave. But look at that offense last and those players . Sometimes he sure gets great players !

I will never forget the 3OT game vs Maine in the 1995 semifinals ...I HAD to go to class when the game was on and when I got back to the house ...the game was still on!

I believe Maine then went on to lose to Chris Drury and BU in the Finals
