Michigan vs NW

EVERYONE should have known it was a one and one and should have been in their position on the key ready to rebound on a missed first attempt...it's not a restricted zone if you're there when you're supposed to be...

And Wagner didn't call time out - he signaled "hey - it's one and one...everybody needs to be here to rebound..."

If Wagner takes the free throw attempt with NO ONE in position to rebound, it's a five on zero if he misses...I don't even know if the players can even get back on the court to play defense in such a situation; I've never seen such a monumental and idiotic **** up in sports since that dumbass on the Cowboys tried to recover that blocked PAT on that Thanksgiving Day game against the Dolphins...

EVERYBODY ****ed up - every player who was in the game at the time, including Walton - and every coach too.

Your right but that call was on walton for moving from jb. They showed it in the replay. He moved from jb and it was called in him... big **** up.
Walton keep us in the game but he was awful they last 3 minutes and what the heck is zak doing pulling up and shooting when he did? He could have dribble in closer easy.

Yeah... big **** up on JB...bigger than big **** up, actually...why wasn't hee making sure that the Michigan bigs needed to be in position for the first of a one and one?

There were ZERO Michigan players in a position to make a board on the missed first of a one and one...ZERO...there were ZERO Michigan players back to defend against an outlet pass after a missed field goal attempt and an uncontested defensive rebound...ZERO...

I said 5 on zero before; I was wrong; it would have been 5 on 1; five against Wagner.

There were NO Michigan players on the court for the first of a one and, other than the free throw shooter Wagner...how the **** does that happen?

If everyone else was in position I didn't see it on the replay...what I remember was no Michigan players on the key...maybe my eyes deceived me.

Floundering in mediocrity for three years now. Awesome.

I would call Xavier Simpson an impact freshman

Not really . He has had a few games but overall he has been a non factor for the majority of season. Need more points and or assists from him this year and we win probably 3 or 4 more games . I don't disagree NS That he has talent but his impact this year in wins is just not there.

He's an advanced defender for a freshman, but it's not a huge deal bc his minutes have to be very limited. His offensive game has a long way to go.

Fix his ****ing shot. Instead of allowing four years of Irvin repeat.

That's a stretch. You can see potential, but he averages less than 2 ppg and about 1 apg.

You can't go by averages lol , he just starting getting playing time the past 10 games or so and has shown what he can do in limited time . He's gonna be replacing Walton next year and after watching him , im pretty good with that .

The issue is we are getting hardly any production from any freshmen at all. Simpson is the only one getting any minutes and he has improved but alas jb needs to recuirt some freshmen difference makers. This team would be a final four contender with a player like Bridges... ND even you have to admit jb has been lacking in freshmen in recent sesson.

Iowa's freehmen Jordan Bohannon averages 9.7 points 2.3 rebound and 4.5 assists a game, and his freshman teamate cook is at 12.2, 4.8, and 1. I think one of those guys killed us in game one.

Major props to Malcolm Hill. The kid is crying in the post game interview. Another good night big ten game between Msu and Illinois.

Yeah mediocrity for sure ..

Minnesota game and Northwestern if we just shot free throws we win both games.
11-17 tonight.
9-18 at Minnesota and that loss was in ot.
4-7 in three point home loss to Virginia Tech.
3-5 in a three point loss in ot at Iowa.
6-10 in a 7 point home loss to mayland.

And Michigan leads the big ten in free throw shooting :/

Need some more guys that can get to the foul line and complete the and 1 plays.

Yeah, impact freshman is definitely a stretch for Simpson, but he's had some impactful moments. Defensively obviously, but he also has a much better feel for when and how to feed big men than anyone else on the roster. I'm beginning to get comfortable with the idea of him running the offense next year. If impact sophomore is a thing, I think he could be that.

And Bob, I know it's probably annoying that my pet peeve is how you react to your pet peeve, but the free throw thing...If you can complain about free throws when watching the best free throw shooting team in the history of Michigan basketball, doesn't that tell you something? No matter what, teams are going to miss free throws, and no matter what, it will impact games. So what value does it add in pointing it out every time? It's like complaining about water being wet. "God damn this water, every time it touches me, it gets me wet. If water wasn't wet, I would stay dry on every single one of my showers. But no, I get wet every time. Scientists really need to pull their heads out of their asses and figure out a way to make water unwet so I can take some fricking dry showers."

Need to win at Nebraska on Sunday. I don't want to be nervous on Selection Sunday.

It would be nice to make a little run in the tourney. I would like to actually make it past the first weekend again. Making it past the 2nd round has only happened twice in JB's 10 year tenure.
