At this point unless Davis gets hurt Miggy's chances are VERY slim. Heck....if he doesn't get out of this semi funk he will only win the batting title.

It doesn't look good at all, and basically the Triple Crown is out of the question now. Miggy is only 12 points ahead of Trout for the batting title as well, so that is most definitely not sewn up either.

It's really too bad how hurt he became this second half. It's still a special season no matter what, but can't help but wonder what could have been.

Unless he suddenly really catches fire and Davis sputters in the next couple weeks, the home run title is going to be hard to do. I think the batting title will probably hold; he hit long fly balls last night, both for outs, but one of them might have been a home run, and the other easily could have been a double in most scenarios.

Trout is a better all around player. If there were an additional award for "Most Outstanding Player" and I had a vote I would vote for Trout.

But Trout isn't as valuable to his team as Cabrera is to his team. Wasn't last year either.

I am certain that he would have won the RBI race. I have my doubts about the HR crown.

I just hope the Tigers think about what he looked like while injured before they throwing $30M a year contract extension his way. He is 30 now. They should let him play out his current contract.

You just never know. I think most of us thought last years vote would be close, it was a blowout. Trout, I could see winning but not by 29 of 30 1st place votes winning. But I wouldn't be shocked..

I think that site consists of mostly sabermetric nerds (no offense to saber-nerds). My guess is Miggy wins it among the traditional voters.

That site is a combo of baseball writers, including Tigers minor leagues guru Mark Anderson, who was the single voter for Miggy.

Remember 2010, and methhead hamilton won it over Miggy while missing most of the last month,
Cabrera had him on most all numbers but the BA.
