More Like Saturday Night Lights...

Man I don't know. I'll never forget the John Navarre TD-run on that Friday night game against Minnesota.

By the way I know everyone was worried, I made it back safely from the Caribbean.

Well you may see something like that again if there is ever another scheduling conflict with MLB playoffs.

It's not like that game was actually intended to be played on a Friday.

Hope you had a great time in the Caribbean and had many cuba libres!

Champ, actually we had to wait in the airport and then get our two massive groups together and go straight to Galveston. Oddly enough we got to the hotel, I turned the TV on, clicked down 1 station and for whatever reason they were showing the Michigan vs MSU game on TV. We went out to a bar and they had it on there too. No idea why, figured they'd have all Texas games.

On the boat, Royal Carribean has two ESPN stations and they do some really odd conversion/streaming process to get the mainland stuff. We were able to see the World Series broadcast but it was like some secondary ESPN radio quality.

And then Saturday rolled around and one of them showed Michigan v Maryland and I have no idea why, but I went with it. But with the broadcast, the exterior audio is incredibly loud and the announcers are basically muted. And they run the same 5-6 commercials non-stop, so I basically could guess which ones were next on the rotation.

That sounds a lot like what I did when I last went on a cruise.

Now when I'm on vacation I just walk down the street to a sports bar and hole up there and watch television.

Not unlike the way I never get married anymore.

Nowadays about every five years I find some bitch I really hate and buy her a house.

We flew an airline which I won't throw under the bus (Spirit) that made us stress out. We had a flight from Texas to Atlanta from 1 PM-4PM, and then the connector was at 4:30. We got into Atlanta at about 3:55 and had to essentially sprint to the gate. We were the last call for boarding and maybe the last 10 people to get on the flight.

Except for weddings funerals and to spend time with my mother while she was still with us, it's been years since I've gotten on an airplane.

Big Ten announced the Friday night lineup for next season:

9/1 - Washington vs Rutgers
9/1 - Utah State vs Wisconsin
9/8 - Ohio vs Purdue
9/29 - Illinois vs Nebraska
10/13 - Maryland vs NW
10/27 - NW vs MSU

Try not to explode with excitement...

Tinsel!! Come back to AA sometime, bro. Miss ya

Sorry I didn't get back with you sooner on this.

Since I last saw you and MichLady there with my wife and cousins, I've had to travel a lot for weddings and funerals.

A good friend of mine from Michigan who came out to Cali about the same time I did just moved back, and really wants my wife and I to come visit her.

So we may be getting back that way next summer.
