That first inning really hurt. Betsa needs to come out much stronger than that. It set a bad tone for the rest of the game and we never truly recovered.

I was thinking the same thing. It seemed like they were playing the way the played Florida last year. No consistent hitting and errors on defense. Well, I think they can beat FSU. If they do, does that mean they have to win three today or just two?

Again we just cannot seem to get it all in sync at the world series. I happens time and time unfortunately for michigan since the title in 2oo5. It is so frustrating watching these great teams come up short and while we are still alive I will be shocked if we make the final two now. Score 5 runs and can't win is maddening. Didn't we beat Oklahoma 16-9 early this year. Must have been a different pitcher . Anyway I only saw our 3 run rally that should have been 4 as that ball was so far outside it was not funny on third out. But after that my signal at camp ground went out. My friend said Hutch was really mad .hopefully our bats will perk up and we can get a big lead today.

That was a different pitcher for OU. Most frustrating thing was that so many were left on base. Way too many. And I don't get Ramirez's last at bat with two outs. Why not swing away rather than trying for a slap hit, which are usually grounders to the infield that the runner beats the throw to first on or that occasionally get through to the outfield. Bases loaded, two outs, down by two, swing the fricken bat!

Can the pitcher throw to first to try to catch the runner off base? I don't think I have ever seen that in women's softball.

I'm pretty sure that the runners have to stay on the bag until the pitcher starts her motion or the pitch is released or the pitch crosses the plate or something like that like that-I'm pretty sure there is no leading off in softball.

Only 1 hit for each team through the middle of the 4th inning. FSU up 1-0, run scored on a passed pitch. Damn!
