I'm pretty sure that the runners have to stay on the bag until the pitcher starts her motion or the pitch is released or the pitch crosses the plate or something like that like that-I'm pretty sure there is no leading off in softball.

I guess it would be pretty hard to throw it to first with underhand motion. Nice KO there for Betsa.

Well I hope this won't be the case but the way things are going it looks like it's definitely possible that the single run scored could end up being the difference.

Yeah this would suck, but I have to admit it seems like the FSU pitcher's confidence is growing.

Pretty weak hitting by Lawrence today. Well, advanced the runner anyway. Hutch needs to put some speed on the bases. Where is Hutch's fight.

Like I said, Christner and Susalla have to hit today. Unfortunately they aren't getting it done. Lawrence has not gotten it done at the plate too. One more chance, but have to rely on the second half of the batting order. Not looking good.

Disappointing end. No energy on offense in the last two games. Michigan beat itself in this game. Only run scored was on a bad pitch. Pretty sad way to end this season.

With the players finishing their college careers at Michigan this season I doubt we see them back at the WCWS next year.

With Hutch's ability to recruit - especially from talent rich Southern California-Michigan softball tends to reload pretty consistently; so we'll see.

I think the pressure of being the top remaining seed going into the World Series made the girls play a little tight.

Anyway hopefully Michigan softball fans will be going into next season following the enjoyment of excellent seasons in football and basketball and hockey.

Hutches always able to recruit occasionally she has disappointments on her team and she lets them know. Starter chapter on your starting position even if they were a starter that year before

Hutch said she wanted to Monte to bunt in the 7th to the right side. FSU was "bunted on the whole tournament, and we didn't get it done.”

The announcers mentioned that bunt. Failures to execute all around. Betsa did keep them in the game, but she also threw some really bad pitches, one that allowed the single run to score.

I do hope they can reload for next year, but it seems that the core of this year's and last year's teams that were so dominant are gone. Not going to be easy to replace them.

Looking forward to football this fall. GO BLUE!

Frustrated at the way it ended but this group of girls were still really good. We always seem Come Up Short since 2005 in the Cws. I really thought this group was going to do it. We always pitch and then do not hit. When we score five we don't pitch. Same old same old in Oklahoma. Just frustrating.

It's a little easier to get into the emotions of women athletes because they express their emotions so much more openly.

Great group of young ladies - barely more than girls really - who accomplished great thing in athletics over the course of four years yet the brass ring wound up eluding them.

There's an element of Chance in team sports - the best teams don't always win - Chance is a fickle bitch.

I wish Chance had been a better sister to her sisters of the Lady Wolverines.

This season just once.
