Next year could be rough

Darboh is averaging just under 15 yards a catch and just won the last game by blowing by the db to catch a bomb. Guess I'll take that in a slow possession receiver.

I don't think he's bad. I'm more so judging him based on an evaluation at a pro level. In college you don't have to be 4.3 to look fast. But I just mean he doesn't have anything stand out about his game, not really a blazer, not really quick, not overpowering. Just kind of pretty decent at all and has decent hands. Which we have some young guns coming up who have some wheels, which works great in college.

I am becoming a subscriber to that theory based on what Bama has done over the years and what I see taking place in Columbus this year. This year's Buckeye squad is supposedly the least experienced in all of Power 5. Through four games, however, they are playing at a level that was expected of last year's team. They are a bunch of talented kids looking to make their mark. It helps, of course to have JT at the wheel.

Yeah, I immediately thought of this year's OSU squad when I read the OP. Really helps when the QB is one of the few returning starters.

Am I the only one who thinks WR depth looks better than it has in a very long time next year? I don't think much of chesson or darboh, darboh is a slow possession receiver and chesson has come a long way but still reminds me of a knock off of ted ginn. Kekoa, Nate Johnson, Eddie McDoom, Maurice ways and Drake Harris sound fine to me. Oh and grant perry.
I wouldn't get any hope up regarding Drake Harris. He's done absolutely nothing but get hurt since his senior year of high school. He's also wafer thin. Looks like Snoop Dogg in pads.

I'm not concerned with his pro prospects. I do think that this crop of freshmen could end up being more talented than the current starters it will show through on the field overnight.

Edit: That said, the WR's probably will put up bigger numbers next year whoever they are.
