Rumor: Michigan - ND on for 2018

27-3 in 1997 did not assuage your anguish? Or even the road win in the 1996 season?

No. I will never forget that game. I was about to go get gas to mow the lawn (I was 12) and I knew the game was over. My dad (A sparty fan) told me not to leave because it was definitely not over. Then it happened. He was laughing hysterically and for the next hour (We had a big yard) I mowed the lawn like every blade of grass was insulting my team. Also wore a white michigan t-shirt with 21 on the back and my last name, written in marker. And black basketball shoes that weren't tied and black socks.

So no, there is no beat down that will ease my hatred of that team.

I'm not sure why this particular game hurt as much as it did - maybe it was my father's laughter - but this is the one game that will stick with me until the day i die.

If that's the case, then I'm against Jimmy on this one and it's a dumb ****ing move. @ND, @MSU, and @OSU

And 2019 doesn't make any sense whatsoever. That schedule was already set with us @Arkansas

I'm not angry with the messenger, just the message if all this is true.

I don't care about the three road games, and I'm sure Harbaugh does not either. They are all home games the next season. The only thing I'd like to see changed is getting MSU-OSU on opposite venues, rather than both at home/road but it's not a big deal to me.

Yeah, that's harsh. I was at a band gig watching the final play during a break and I asked out loud: "anyone know if Stewart can throw a football 75 yards?" I was ornery after that and I remember heaving a guy from the dance floor (outdoor gig at DYC) because he was jumping in a puddle and splashing me, my bass and my monitor with water.

Arkansas' AD is pissed.

Bielema said he's disappointed, but going to take the $2MM and host a satellite camp in Cabo next year. ha.

I'd like to see the Harbaugh-Bielema shit talking. I think this ND series will be less entertaining. more competitive maybe, but whatever.

jesus that's some ice cold shit!

I don't know if I could ever do the same to my kids if they somehow (ugh) became MSU fans, or even... GAH!!... Ohio St fans and the same thing happened to one of those teams.

I might cheer a little, sure, but laughing hysterically as one of my kids got his team spirit crushed like that? whoa.

I was working at Cottage Inn and had gone to restock the beer cooler in anticipation of the post-game rush. Then about 10 months later I moved back to Colorado and to Boulder and got to hear about the Hail Mary for a good two years ...until the 1996 Hail Mary at Folsom fell to the ground and Michigan got revenge ...and again in 97 when CU didn't cross the 50yd line until late in the 3rd quarter.

Hey, from 1994 until 1996 it was hard to argue with them over that play and the fact that CU had its 1990 national title ...then 1997 happened and CU isn't 1/2 the program it was then under McCartney.

This year, no smack talk at all but I know quite a few CU fans/alumni going to the game in A2

The McCartney years were pretty darn good. Those ****ers were stealing kids out of Michigan.

Westbrook being one of them.

Oh, I already told my son jokingly that if he ever becomes a fan of either school, he can go find a new Dad. Lol. He's 9. But, he gets it. We were watching a show together and a girl was wearing an MSU sweater. He said, "Yuck. Daddy, it's your hated team."

I think I mentioned that an HS friend's son plays for CU. She went to MSU, so the desire for CU to win for her is intensified. I hope M is winning 68-0 at halftime.

That's right ...well, CU is not in a class with MICHIGAN right now

I am not whining. I am saying that to REMOVE a home game from 2018 and give it to south bend is NOT GOOD for the local vendors, etc ...and for the fans (like this year, for example) who have on/off GREAT/Shitty home schedules.

Billionaires playing with billions over the years is not going to help a vendor that counts on home Michigan games.

I was talking about TheWolverines24 - he seems to not understand that they're merely flipping a home-away with Arkansas with an Away-home w/ ND. it's not ideal timing, but these and future games with ND could be worth more than $2mm + 2 games with Arkansas.

Edit: but since you bring it up, how many vendors are one home game more than a year from now away from bankruptcy? I think it's pretty likely they can make to the next season and have a better year then with the extra home game they weren't going to get.
