Stafford takes a licking, keeps on ticking

Starting with Mr. False-Start Can't Pass Protect Can't Run-Block Jeff Back-ASS.

It is good to see though that Stafford's injuries were possibly just bad luck and not being because he's "made of glass."

And he got right back up...love to see it.

Backus, Cherilus and Hilliard were God-awful today. One of these clowns is going to get Staff killed.

Good thing the coaches have made protecting Stafford their #1 priority this year.

I know Backus has his short commings but today was the worse ive seen him play in some time. Especially those 4 plays at the end of regulation.

yeah i think this was just a game. I don't think this is a sign of things to come. But, backus better be ready for the pack and bears.

I don't remember the last time Backas had a illegal procedure penalty. Probably missing one but those things usually are left to the right side of the line.

Even if Stafford ends up being more durable than we thought, I still don't think he'll survive the whole season if the O-line continues to play this way.

I don't know. It was against an amped up Vikings team who had a player only meeting. Almost like they took steroids before game time. But I don't see this as a trend, even with our oline.

I agree, Allen was playing out of his mind today. As good as he is all the time, that's saying something.

Just relax. Backus is usually consistent. He had a bad game, and he had it against Jared Allen, who has made a lot of LTs look bad. Brian Robison getting through so much concerns me a bit though. I think we'll be fine. We slowed down their rush in the 2nd half after some adjustments; found Pettigrew a lot more.

yeah...i don't think he dropped a pass today? Definitely stepped up for us.

What can you do at this point in the season. Hopefully Stafford survives the season and they get serious about protecting the franchise before next year. He's already been pounded pretty good and it's only 3 games in. It won't get any easier going forward esp if they don't get some semblance of a running game.

All I know is we're 3-0 and I'm happy about that. No complaining from me tonight.

He got pounded today...before today he's kept his jersey pretty clean.

Luckily Backus gets a break next week against Dallas, this Demarcus Ware guy is a bum.

It will become a trend if the Lions can't run the ball.

he took some good shots yesterday....like the poster above states their run game scares nobody so they're just pinning their ears back and rushing.
