From a trusted source at MGoBlog:

"Speight has been given the keys to the car. As many of you already know, I have been a staunch supporter of JO'K and have a personal bias for reasons that I won't go into here. Anyway, I have it in writing from a respected writer in the business. I will release that next Saturday and give him full credit. Bottom line, Wilton has earned it and he will be our QB. I have a ton of respect for the way he has earned the right to lead this team! Go Blue!"

I was right.

As usual.

I should sell t-shirts that say "Champ was Right."

Anyway dudes, one week from now at right around this time, check off will be happening or will just have happened. When we get the ball, I sure hope the OP is right, and Harbaugh will be true on his promise to Mich Lady and there will indeed be someone under center at quarterback.

EDIT: Kick off, not Checkov. He was a Russian novelist.

Yeah, as the leaks kept coming it seemed Speight was pulling ahead a little.

And since O'Korn was thought to be the second coming by sparty fans, Speight must be ****ing insanely awesome.

Good news all around ..can't wait for next Saturday!!

Was kind of rooting for Okorn, but if Speight is better, he gets it

I already love Wilton. I asked him if he had the keys and he replied to the streets? LOL!

Could he consider changing his first name? I can hear the stupid jokes about Wilton under the pressure...

No need to worry about the first name. He will be Master Speight.

agree.

I know it was only Minnesota, but that was a pretty desperate situation he stepped into in that game, and he delivered. Not just the TD pass either. The play he made on the 2 pt conversion to keep the pressure on them was huge. so I'm not worried about him handling pressure.

Jim admitted today that he and his QBs already know who the starter is but will not be announcing it to the press.

Agreeing that I think it is speight although I had thought it was o'korn earlier this summer

still amazes me how much Shane is an afterthought in all of this; he's not even part of the discussion

Not as a grad student of course, but you'd have to think Malzone will transfer. Unless his love for UM is just that strong.
