The Official Maryland vs ][V][ichigan Game Thread

It seems to me that Brian Griese is having a lot of fun doing the color analysis for this game with his alma mater Michigan.

His dad was the commentator for us many times in 1997. This year has so much in common with that team.

Michigan Wins! And Harbaugh just blows by Durkin. Nice!

He DID?!? Ouch.

I guess there was something to the bad faith interviewing issue.

was a sleazy move by Durkin. I don't care how common poaching coaches is these days.

I think it's funny too, because Durkin probably was not worth it. But I'm glad he's gone and we have Don Brown.

Well, Harbaugh did pat him on the arm/shoulder as he walked past. I didn't see any handshake. Did anyone else?

There was a handshake and a shoulder pat all in the same motion, but Jim barely broke stride.

Was there bad blood between jim and Durkin because of how he left ?

My bad! When I saw it at the end of the game it looked to me that Harbaugh just put his had on Durkin's shoulder as he walked past him. Now that I've seen other angles he clearly shook his hand.

Okay, that sounds more reasonable. Blowing past Durkin without a handshake would be pretty cold, regardless of how he left.

they showed a lot of Durkin on the sidelines. Just judging from his mannerisms and body english as he reacted to things, watching him complain to officials with a smirk on his face... he seems like a shady guy.

There was NOTHING wrong with the handshake. It was more polite than Brian Kelly was towards the NAVY HC and I'm sick and tired of the bullshit about interpreting handshakes. Coach shook Durkin's hand with an extra pat on the back and headed straight up the tunnel ....if I had to speculate anything, Harbaugh was trying to get off the field before being corralled by media for an interview and had nothing to do with Durkin.

I think the other coach should've chased after Harbaugh and grabbed and shoved and tried to punch at him, and afterwords the media should've made a big ****ing event of the whole stupid ordeal, and Harbaugh should have said at the presser "oh it's on me oh it's on me, I shook his little bitch hand too hard just because I was excited after such a great win and oh this is on me it's on me."

Is Michigan the real #1 ?

If we get that monkey off our back the last week of the month, I will agree with whatever people want.
