Baez made a nice over the shoulder catch in the 2nd inning which was kind of a hot dog play since the LF had a beat on it and it would have been an easier play for him. Then he screws up on what appeared to have been an easy play in the third.

that's not the play I was talking about. It was the play right before that one where he was in a shift playing behind 2B.

The play with the bat was one of the weirdest plays I have ever seen. He's lucky he didn't get hit with it.
