I have had to endure listening to alot of butthurt Sparty fans this weekend saying Denards knee was down before he stretched for the first down (6:40mark on the video).
I have watched it over and over and maybe it's just my homer eyes, but I don't see his knee ever touch.

What say the board?

Scary title...made me think there was some sort of injury to Denard's knee that I didn't hear about.

My reply would simply be, "Get over it. State lost and had plenty of chances to win. You were overrated coming in to the season, have a completely one-dimensional team and are acting like a little bitch about Saturday's outcome. Let me know when a Michigan DB shoves a State WR out the back of the endzone and then mugs him for his wallet or when the M Stadium time keeper cheats for the home team, by stopping the clock before a timeout was signalled."

Then I'd turn around and walk away with an arm extended, displaying a the #1

I agree the title made my heart skip a beat.

But as far as that play as I have told a few Sparty fans even if it was down that means it would have been 4th down. I dont think it would have changed much if anything.

It was hard to see but it doesn't look like his knees touched at all, looked like they were on top of players so the outstretched hands touched first.

Sorry for heart attack inducing title guys. Don't see a way to edit it.

I don't even know how you could say it was? From every camera angle I have seen so far I have not seen something that would remotely indicate any part of his body was touching the ground. He was laying across 2-3 players. Unless someone wants to show me a screen gab of his knee being down - I don't think you can reasonably make the case that it was.

You're clearly not wearing the right Green and White glasses to watch the video, then. Because only butthurt Spartans seem to see what they claim to see in order to help them better handle the emotional hurt they're experiencing today, returning to work.

Hey, at least the Lions are playing tonight and then there's those Tigers in the WS!

His knee was ABSOULTLY NOT on the ground! Watching it live and in slow mo i had no doubt he had made the first down.

in side note, hoke said they are talking to head of offficials about the seconds lost when the review was called for to clarify the situation

overall he said it was a good crew

Even if it was, I don't think there was enough there to overturn that call.

Yes, his knee was down. I argued with my sons that it wasn't down and after watching the recording I am convinced it was down. It's undeniable with the recording that I have. Fwiw!
