    What team will give the Tiger's the biggest challenge for the division? I think Chicago and Minn are at their weakest going into a season, in a few yrs. That could change btw now and April.     OT Question

    Does anyone know why when a team moves to another city, they sometimes keep the team name, ex., Dodgers,Rams or Colts, sometimes change it; Jets to Coyotes, Browns to Ravens, etc. Utah Jazz makes no sense.

    Getting some breaks

    McCarver made the comment that Det finally caught a break on the ball that hit 3rd. It does seem like they haven't had many good breaks all series. I liked the crack McCarver made about how Coke recorded 5 outs but looked like he pitched a complete game!

    If you saw only the player stats

    for the series, you'd have thought they lost in 3. AJax, Peralta, AA, cabrea, VMart had a sub 200 BA. Overall they didn't play very well and still won. They are gonna kick the Rangers ass!

    Seeing some stats for them last night as a duo, 1st in this and that, got me wondering if there has been a more productive tandem in Tiger's history? I couldn't think of any off the top. Maybe Cash and Kaline in 61?

    Trading Fister

    Appears to be a very dumb move by Seattle. When you're rebuilding you trade a guy like Ichiro for prospects. Not a young, effective SP locked up for 3-4 yrs w/a reasonable contract. That was an irresponsible move by the GM. Dombrowski may have just fleeced the M's. Unreal.

    I just read that he beat out Manny for ROY and had 18 HRs for Det in 97? I feel like Rip Van Winkle. I like to think I'm an ave fan but I've never heard of this guy. Bob Hamelin? Is this a joke?
