2023 Home and Road schedule

I?ve always said, bad teams use salary cap as an excuse. Good teams, they find a way.

We the Lions, have never been a good team. Therefor, you and the majority of this fan base use the salary cap as an excuse for not bringing in star players/talent.

The real reason?Nobody has wanted to come to Detroit!

No shit nobody wants to come to Detroit. That's obvious.

Nobody has used the cap as an excuse for the Lions being bad. The cap has had very little to do with it over the years. In fact, the only single decision that was cap related that had any effect on the team was with Suh. And that was really a matter of old rookie deals/bad GM'ing/bad luck.

Lions have never really had cap issues.

You use the "good teams find a way" BS as a way to blame the front office for the Lions ineptitude. If any team in the NFL actually signed guys like you want the Lions to sign that team would be in cap hell in 2 off seasons......AND.....if nobody wants to come to Detroit, as you said, they'd get to cap hell by signing 2nd and 3rd tier FA's so the product on the field wouldn't be that good, either.

Win games. Draft reasonably well. Develop talent. Don't overpay. That's the only way to build a LONG TERM, winning, football team.

The Patriots did it for 20 years. Baltimore currently does it. Pittsburgh does it.

Rams did 503 scenario. Stafford, Miller, OBJ, Floyd, Ramsey, paid Kupp and Woods, cheap RB deals on a good roster. Traded a bunch of 1sts away too

Got a Super Bowl but now they suck. Would rather have the long term winning getting there slowly and sustaining instead of just one year.

I'll take a SB followed by sucking. Any day.
