Paul and Mark dive deep into the Tigers 2019 MLB Draft, evaluating some of the Tigers selections, who they did (and didn't take), and their thoughts on how the strategy and approach played out. After that, a discussion on the Tigers current regime, and whether or not this rebuild can be successful under Al Avila and company.

Topics covered;
Paul lost the bet on who would be the Tigers first round pick, and will take down a Natty Light on the next podcast recorded per the Twitter poll.

Riley Greene was the Tigers first rounder, he was already covered in detail in the draft preview podcast, but now that he's with the Tigers, where does he stack up in the TigsTown Top Ten?

Which other players stood out as intriguing prospects among the Tigers selections? Both are excited about Nick Quintana, while Mark also likes Zack Hess and Paul is intrigued by Jack Kenley.

A moment of pause as news breaks that Casey Mize was lifted from his start in Erie with shoulder soreness.

Moving on from the draft, Paul and Mark tackle an in-depth Twitter question: From @jfvillarreal - Can there be a successful rebuild under this regime or does there need to be a front office and minor league staff overhaul?

Roberto Campos, OF, Tigers: The Detroit organization popped for a hefty $3MM to secure the services of the Cuban outfielder, per Badler (via Twitter). Campos defected in somewhat dramatic fashion several years ago at just 13 years of age. He wasn?t listed among the best prospects, but Chris McCosky of the Detroit News indicates on Twitter that the Tigers like his bat quite a bit.

Kerr batted .269 this season as the No. 4 hitter. He entered the year with two career home runs and 27 RBIs in his previous three seasons but was named the starting first baseman to start 2019.

2019 MLB Draft TigsTown's Detroit Tigers Draft Central.

July 4 Update: The Tigers have now signed 33 of their 40 selections, including everyone selected in the top ten rounds, and currently are $46K under their allotted bonus pool, as they signed 8th rounder Jack Kenley under his allotted bonus amount. Of the seven unsigned picks, four are in the teens and 20's, including 11th rounder John McMillon and 14th rounder Ted Stuka.

If any of the remaining sign for more than $125K, each dollar over would go against the pool, but the Tigers could still go over up to 5% of their $10.5M bonus pool and only have to pay a fine, as opposed to facing draft pick penalties.
