Mock Draft Watch: Draft Wire's latest has Lions addressing the front-7 early.
LionsWire

The latest 2021 NFL Draft projections from our brother site Draft Wire have the Detroit Lions getting front-7 help early and a possible player of the future in the third.

With the draft order established by Super Bowl odds, the Lions are slotted to pick ninth, and Draft Wire?s Luke Easterling gives the Lions Florida State defensive tackle Marvin Wilson.

Read that the '21 draft will mark the 26th time that the Lions will pick in the top 10 during the Superbowl era. That is close to being every other year, and all that has resulted in is a couple of division titles and one playoff win. Oh, and a handful of HoFers.

What I find interesting with your analysis is it leans toward him being a better safety than CB. Now, after his recovery, that may very well be his new position.

I actually think he?d be a much better safety. I think I read that coming out of high school he was actually a safety/linebacker.
