Game 8: Lions @ Vikings Thread

Quinn has had some good draft picks. The day 2 has been lacking now that Tavai and Harris are not working out and Walker regressed some. Plus Tabor fiasco. Robinson was solid but moved on and never was more than a run defender with a few flash plays at pass rush for like 2 seasons. Day 2 hurts Quinn. Round 1 looks good with Decker, Ragnow, Hock. Okudah TBD. Davis was drafted for a different scheme.

They can win with Stafford. We'll see if a new GM makes a change. If a 3rd GM keeps him, that should tell that Stafford is a good franchise QB. Change could be for cap reasons though too.

And Mayhew had some good picks too but day 2 whiffs as well. Mayhew is helping John Lynch as Assistant GM in San Fran and they have added some real talent. So you gotta give Mayhew credit. Mayhew did build a playoff team really for 3 seasons. 2016 was alot of his players even though Quinn had taken over with his HC in Caldwell.

But I'm sure everyone will turn on Bienemy when a rookie or young QB struggles and he's not a QB developer. Dude was a Bengals running back. Maholmes is just an all world talent and Andy Reid the real guru there. I'd be interested to see who Bienemy gets to run the defense because that is where the help is needed. Would rather have Saleh (keep Bevell if they turn it around) over Bienemy

yup Bienemy and a rookie QB will struggle...and they will still will win just as many games as Stafford and make 30 million less.

Or we go 0 16 again like we went 0 8 without him last year

The Lions record over the past 16 games that Matt has played in is 6-9-1

The only difference in having a record of 6-9-1 with Matt and 0-16 with a rookie QB is where the Lions pick in the 2022 draft.

Refs screwed us 2 games in 2019. Swift drop. 9 6 1 real quick with stafford and playoffs

or it could easily be 5-10-1 if Gurley doesn't fall into the endzone.

The point is its super close to 9 6 1. Which is why you dont burn it down and become the jets

Nfl is close from 6 10 to 11 5. Real close.

The Lions are just as close to a SB title as the Jets are.

Lions are much much closer. Close as most teams really. Would say 21 teams have sb chance and lions in that mix

Lol. They haven't won a playoff in in 29 years but sure why not.
