KEYS
Transition Defense: This has to be the number one point of emphasis from the coaching staff. The first meeting MSU scored 28 transition points, which is a complete failure. MSU will look to push the ball relentlessly and an effort remotely similar to the first meeting won't be good enough to win, let alone stay close.

Ball Screen Defense: 24th nationally in defending ball screens, so we need an anomalistic performance in this facet of the game. Drop coverage should be the go to strategy as Hunter struggled mightily when showing or trapping on screens in the first meeting. Dickinson defending outside the 3-point line will allow MSU's guards to get downhill to the rim easily. Drop coverage won't be an automatic fix, but it's the smarter plan. Hoggard is limited when forced to shoot outside and Walker doesn't look for his pull-up jumper as aggressively as guys we just faced in Frazier and Plummer.

Basketball Jones: Michigan is averaging 21.6 PPG out of ball screens on the season, but over the past two games they've averaged 36 PPG. Some of that is opponent induced, some is due to Jones' improvement. In the first meeting, Michigan scored 9 points out of 22 ball screen plays. That is a number that has to greatly improve and get much closer to the average over the past two games.

GO BLUE!

Defense needs to be stressed in the off season with whoever returns to Michigan.

Every opposing guard is allowed to forearm shove Eli to create space. Never a whistle. Really neat.

Wish Eli had run the offense instead of jacking up a three. He was wide open. But I worry about out percentage from three. Would rather run offense and see what happens.

Great defense by Williams. Man frustrating call.

Kobe is screwing up left and right. Blowing a box out and then blowing a close out on the very next possession. Could cost us 5 points.

Omg. Get bufkin out of there.

Why are we so fucking stupid.

Houstan dumb foul after missing a layup.
Diabette. Dumb foul waste a possessions. Easy call moving screen.
Bufkin clanks a three
Bufkin whiffs on a box out.
Bufkin. Fouls a guy 30 plus feet away. 3 shot foul waste a posses.

Our freshmen are just not very smart.
Super frustrating we could be up 15 plus just by playing smart basketball.
