KEYS
Defensive rebounding: Offensive rebounding can be a great neutralizer for Penn State?s offense. The Nittany Lions are 7-1 when they rebound at least 32% of their misses compared to 2-9 when their offensive rebounding checks in under that mark. Michigan has generally been a very good defensive rebounding team and it will have to replicate that on the road to win this game.

Play through Hunter Dickinson: PSU has limited options in the frontcourt and Hunter Dickinson should have every opportunity to dominate from the inside out. Michigan has been asking Dickinson to do everything offensively but there?s no other option at this point. The key will be whether Dickinson can establish himself early and force the Nittany Lions to gamble with double teams that open up the rest of the floor.

Early stops and an early lead: Michigan?s defense has been bad and seems to be getting worse, but Penn State is very limited offensively. This is a spot where Michigan?s defense has to come together and put up a better fight. If the Wolverines allow the Nittany Lions to score 1.1 points per possession, they are going to have a very hard time winning on the road. The start of the game feels like the most important part of this one. Penn State?s pace makes it very hard to come back on, but it also makes it hard for it to ever come back. Establishing an early lead could go a long way toward a drama-free evening in State College.

GO BLUE!

Lost 4 dudes and so far it looks like we recruited poorly too to replace them.

Lol. 35 foot clank three.

No defense. Yikes.

My god. Houstan has some of the worst misses for a guy who was supposed to be the best shooter in his class.

Out coached, out hustled. Can?t shoot and can?t play defense. Plus we are a really stupid team.

Maybe we should recognize we can?t play man to man and try a zone for a bit.

Somehow only down 1 despite possibly the worst defensive stretch I've ever seen from a Michigan player (Bufkin). He was determined to let Sessoms blow by him every possession and put us in a deep hole. Super impressive.

I think it?s tied 34-34. Houstan shot was a three. That?s what Espn has.
