KEYS

Play through Hunter Dickinson: This sets up to be a one-on-one battle between Hunter Dickinson and Amando Bacot. It feels like a situation where UNC sticks to its guns and plays Dickinson straight up and the Wolverines need their man to dominate the game if he gets touches. Dickinson has been dealing with traps, doubles, fronts, and seemingly everything else over the first couple of weeks of the season, but now is a chance for him to show that he can dominate a very good big man straight up. The two are very familiar with each other, and their matchup will shape the rest of the game.

Defend spread bigs: Michigan?s power forwards ? Brandon Johns, Moussa Diabate and Terrance Williams ? haven?t been matched up against an elite shooter this year. The combination of Dawson Garcia and Brady Manek should present some difficult challenges for all three and even for Hunter Dickinson when the Tar Heels go small. The Wolverines need to figure out how to take that pick-and-pop shot away without compromising the rest of their defensive fundamentals.

Make some threes: ?I?ll tell you one thing: We?ve got to do a better job of making outside shots in general.? That was Juwan Howard on Tuesday afternoon discussing his team?s growth. Michigan will need to make some threes against a UNC team that struggles to defend. All eyes will be on Caleb Houstan and Eli Brooks, Michigan?s primary perimeter threats, but getting a few extra 3-pointers from somewhere else on the roster would go a long way.

KenPom likes Michigan on the road, 76-73, and gives the Wolverines a 63% chance at picking up the victory. The Vegas spread sets Michigan as a 1.5-point road favorite.

Another turnover.
I guess getting in the lab didn?t work.

This is bad. No attention to detail right now.

Slopfest. Already 6 turnovers. Find a damn point guard JH damn it.

Hunter has regressed badly so far this year. Point guards are not helping him.
