Lions GM Bob Quinn speaks to media

Yeah, keeping them gives the fan base no hope/excitement. My brother was a season ticket holder last year (he started selling off tickets after the Jets game), and he said he is done with them. I live near Jacksonville and have started watching more Jaguar's games the last few weeks. There Jags suck also but at least Minshew is fun and they might clean house. Plus they have all the picks from the Ramsey trade. All of the Detroit teams suck right now but the Lions are the only ones that haven't done anything in 20 years. When Quinn passes on Young that night be there last straw (if it hasn't already happened) for hope for this franchise.

While I'm not saying Chase is the key to the Lions making the playoffs, it would certainly fill the biggest hole and also be BPA. A rookie edge guy will have a larger impact than a rookie QB 9/10 times. Especially when you already have Stafford, who while on his way out, doesn't appear to be done yet.
You're right and I don't know who the king of QB that's coming out worth drafting but I still see this team a log ways of competing and Chase won't help enough long term. Stafford probably his best year and we were still 3-4-1. Chase might help now but 3-4 years down the road we might regret not drafting a QB.

Detroit Lions Podcast Episode 247 ? Quinn and Patricia Locked. Martha Says No Sale.

In this episode of The Detroit Lions Podcast, Chris and Jeff ?The Riz? Risdon are together again to discuss the latest breaking Detroit Lions news. It was a busy news day for the team, so we go in hot.

Detroit Lions Podcast Weighs In First.
News broke today about a small presser held by Martha Ford in which she announce the continuation of the Bob Quinn and Matt Patricia regime for the 2020 season. She spoke to the need for some new assistants and the need to be a playoff contender. We dive into what this means for the team and evaluate the decision. We also discuss how this situation might affect the actions of Quinn and Patricia going forward. What it bodes for the team and what to look forward for the rest of the season.

In other breaking news, Mrs. Ford and her daughter Sheila made it clear that the team is not for sale. Not to Jeff Bezos, not to anyone. The Detroit Lions Podcast discusses how important it was for Sheila Ford Hamp to step forward and make a statement. There was a message sent in that action, and we discuss what the message behind the message was.

We cover the Lions injury report, take our first peek at the draft, and even take some of your phone calls. One of our favorite topics makes its first appearance for 2020, HBO?s ?Hard Knocks?. We discuss the possibility of them coming to Detroit next year and why it might be more likely than folks think. The Pro Bowl announcements were made, and we discuss the Lions situation. Frank Ragnow snubbed, Darius Slay in, and Matthew Stafford and Kenny Golladay as alternates. Finally, we look ahead to the game against the Denver Broncos.
