Lions Trade Van Noy

I don't even think it's that. Lions coaches can't evaluate properly...

I think they saw that he was a really good player and despite not fitting the scheme couldn't pass up on him. Admirable that they evaluated the talent properly, but stupid and short sighted thinking they could shove a square peg into a round hole.

We?ve always been the team that wants to take talent and then try to mold them into playing a style against their strengths.

We took Van Noy and then tried to make him a stand up, coverage LB.

That?s just dumb.

Sometimes you can't pass up on talent. Even though that player doesn't fit your scheme. Personally, I think if you're going to play in the NFL, you should be able to adapt. KVN could barely get on the field in Austin's defense. That's on Van Noy to an extent but it's also a coaching issue. KVN had some talent and I wish they wouldn't have given up so early on him. He's no superstar but he's solid.

I agree. They should have used him like he was used in college but whatever lol.
