Two fold problem.....

Rinne is playing great and the Wing's top players are not putting shots where they want too.

They can't buy a goal. They havn't been able to buy a goal for two months.

Wings need a BIG TIME winger who can pop 30 and not disappear for 3 months like Franzen.

Yes tonight they got that and many more power plays tonight but the two unlucky goals in game one take the cake... The bounces seem to be going towards the preds to me... But they are bigger and faster and younger...But we outplayed them both games in detroit and they had a goalie who was better and a defense that never seemed to get rattled..

Yup since the 23 game winning streak at home it has been rough for us..And when PD had his surgery.

That's just the way this team has been playing though. Fact is, they outplayed the other team in most of the games they lost in the regular season during their big slide.

They still lost most of them, and most were by a single goal because they couldn't finish opportunities. Same thing in the playoffs, they are just blowing all their chances.

Would love to have a Shanahan type player in his prime. Unfortunately I don't think that type of player really exists at the moment, or at the very least is not a free agent.

Yes. This offseason needs to see not just a tweak here and a tweak there. Face it...good as they are Z and Dats are exiting their primes. Their production is going to wane from here on out. Add to that no speed on defense and as was stated a power forward (Franzen) that falls off the map for chunks of a season.
