Steve Sarkisian and Nathaniel Hackett are 2 names starting to heat up...

Sarkisian for me...

The offense's scoring output, under his guidance, dropped from 33.8 points per game (leading the NFL in 2016) to 22.1 points per game in 2017. On December 31, 2018 he was fired as offensive coordinator.

It went up 3 points or so this past year not sure he's a raring endorsement.

ATL was top 10 in points this year and to 15 last year. I guess he could be an improvement even though Detroit's offense was 7th last year.

But it was way down from before he took over.. So did Atlanta have a huge change in personnel or is he JBC 2.0.

Hard to say.

As far as the skill position players, I would have to give the edge to Atlanta across the board.

Ryan > Stafford
Freeman & Coleman > Johnson & Riddick
Julio, Sanu, Ridley > Jones, Golladay, ??
Hooper > __________

Well, he's had success in the NFL. Change of scenery could be good. We're not getting the second coming of Andy Reid right now. Of course you're not onboard with it tho. What a shocker lol

It's the reason we fired JBC lack of offense yet you "lmao" it. Change of scenery, to Detroit? :hehe:

You're 100% mentally challenged dude. Why do you even follow this fucking team? For real?
He was in Atlanta. If he changes teams, it's called "change of scenery". I know you're not the brightest but figure it out, you fucking imbecile.

Aw man...Detroit is going to make Sark relapse. Not sure if im ready to have that on my conscience.

Lol. The more I read up on Hackett, he doesn't sound too bad.
Took over the OC job in Jacksonville midseason in 2016. Finished strong.
Did wonders in 2017.
Fell apart last yr. Fournette hurt a lot, Hurns gone, Bortles sucking. Hard to succeed.
Like I said, change of scenery could be good.

Sounds almost exactly like JBC in Detroit.

Detroit Lions Podcast Episode 195 ? Lions OC Hunt Continues. 45 minutes.

In this episode of The Detroit Lions Podcast, Chris and Case take ahold of the microphones while Jeff Risdon is away covering the Jim Bob Cooter interview with the Cleveland Browns for Brownswire ? poor guy. Fear not, the boys fight through Case?s failing internet connection to bring you the most important and pertinent Detroit Lions news today. They also talk about another leap that the show will be taking as we push to bring you the best Lions content in the most engaging formats.

Detroit Lions Podcast Talks Hires and Fires.
The first order of business this week is to cover the recent front office move at the Vice President of Football Operations position. Bob Quinn hire Matt Harriss is out and Mike Disner is in. Chris calls an immediate Super Bowl victory as a result. Case tempers Chris?s enthusiasm with talk about finance, the time value of money, and spreadsheets. Suffice it to say, we won?t be hearing much from Matt in the coming year.

Then we get into the boring stuff and talk about Offensive Coordinator candidates. Things seem pretty quiet around the team right now and everyone knows, that?s when a Lion strikes. The Detroit Lions Podcast discusses some of the previous possibilities that were mocked the Lions way, many of which have now been hired elsewhere. Still a pretty wide open group of candidates to choose from, and no real indications from the team as to where they may be looking.

After pillorying Michael David Smith of PFT, we look ahead to next year?s schedule. As of today the breakdown of who we play and where we play them seems to favor the Lions bringing us the more difficult teams at home and some of the easier ones on the road. There is a lot of offseason to go, but it felt right to take an early look.

Heading Around The Division.
After that we take the longest look ?Around the Division? that we?ve had in the show?s history. We start with the Chicago Bears and have a little fun at their expense as a result of their elimination from the playoffs last week. From there we walk over the Green Bay Packers and their new head coach hire on the way to poke the Minnesota Vikings a bit.

Let us know what you think about the show by commenting in the podcast thread in the subreddit, or by leaving us a voice mail message via Skype at: Detroit Lions Podcast Your input will help make the show better, and if you leave us a message on Skype, you just might be featured in an upcoming Detroit Lions Podcast! You can also give us a call at (929) 33-Lions.

It kinda does lol. Bit scary...
Hackett is more of a run first guy and loves the power run game. We have that in KJ and ZZ. Health is key.
Now i'm torn on Hackett and Sarkisian lol.

Will there be any more coaching moves?

Matt Harriss will move on from his capologist role.

Who was the best feel-good story of 2018?

Da?Shawn Hand = PFF ALL-Rookie team.

Who are the top tight ends on the board?

Can the Lions wait until after Round 1 for an EDGE rusher? Is the class deep enough?

Would the Lions consider drafting an offensive tackle early?

Will Ziggy Ansah be back?

Which free agents could the Lions potentially break the bank for?

I honestly don't know what we need in an OC. Keeping Stafford focused is key. The guy just goes flat for large portions of alot of games. Not sure how you fix than in year 11

You'd go flat too if defenses knew what you were doing before you walked up to the LOS...
