We did have an Iraqi War declaration, voted on by both the house and senate.....Safe to say a vast majority of the country were in favor of the decision.

So wait, the total of the Congress plus the President = a vast majority of the country?

You have said a lot of stupid things in your 88 post total, but this is right up there with the leaders.

you do understand representative gov't, don't ya?

Not to mention the hydrogen fuel cell that had such a big buzz then went away when rich ppl realized they cant make much money off of selling water.

Not to change the subject but, I thought the problem with Hydrogen Fuel Cells was more of a safety issue, than anything else.

If we were in the position too offset the 1.5 million barrels that Libya pumps, yes, it wouldnt be an issue would it
weve been in that position for 40 years with natural gas which is cheaper, cleaner and vastly abundant in the us. We just chose not to use it because oil companies rule the world....duh.

Oil Co's own the natural gas too...

I understand it perfectly, I don't think you fully understand it in this case.

The Senators and Congressmen did not call all their constituents to ask their opinions before they voted.

Using your logic a majority of the country wanted Obamacare, because that passed both the House and Senate.

Now do you understand why what you said was dumb?

Party line vote....you do recall the results of the elections in 2010, right? LOL...obviously they didn't vote the right way

about half the dems voted for the Iraq War.....wow you stepped in that one

That still does not mean a majority of the country you dolt, just a majority of the Legislative Branch.

God damn you are thick.

run away.......

2009-Obamacare passed....Massive losses in the country by Dems, 700 seats change hands...Polls still show less than 40% approve of it.

3/2003-Iraqi War begins...11/2004 Election, Republicans gain seats in house and senate......The people would have spoke against Bush/Rep., and they didnt

A Gallup poll made on behalf of CNN and USA Today concluded that 79% of Americans thought the Iraq War was justified, with or without conclusive evidence of illegal weapons. 19% thought weapons were needed to justify the war.

Hydrogen fuel cells are not an energy source, it is a way to turn hydrogen and oxygen into electricity. You can create hydrogen and oxygen from water, but you need electricity to do it. The energy still has to come from somewhere.

Obamacare didn't pass until March 2010.

I guess I was referring to the senate vote, which was the only way to stop the bill since the house is a majority only....same result.....Dems got spanked for it in 2010

Yes, I understand how it works.

But I believe there were several safety issues attributed to both the cells and the storage batteries.

Obamacare was 1 reason....one of many...Independents who voted Dem in 2008 swung right , Dem base stayed home because there was nothing to get excited about....Congress was heading to an all time low approval rating.

68% of voters said the economy was the #1 reason they showed up to vote in 2010 mid terms.

I was pointing out how stupid it is to say a majority of the country supports something just because the House and Senate passed it, and used Obamacare as an example, I never argued whether or not they actually did, just your basis for saying they did.

Do you understand now, or should I do the next reply in crayon?

maybe so....I think they contributed 15 Dem house loses to Obamacare...and

Gallup: 72% of All Americans and 56% of Democrats Say Obamacare Mandate Unconstitutional (as of Feb. 2012)

you still here...LOL
please, show me something prior to March 2003 that said a majority of the country was against it.....You have no argument......good god. Even Bill & Hillary supported it. C'mon, Slick Willy was on board...

That wasn't refuting your point. It supports your challenge to the technology. Whether or not the safety issue can be worked out, it isn't something to compare to natural gas, which is a fuel source. It cannot replace oil or gas or solar or anything, it requires one of those things.

Not that I'm against it; batteries suck, and it could replace batteries if the bugs were worked out.

Can you fucking read?

I'm not arguing that the country was or was not against the war, just your basis for coming to that conclusion.

EDIT: not you Red, we posted at the same time, that was meant for the dumb one above you.

I still believe your congressman listens to their constituents. Obviously you don't. There wasn't any uproar from the side opposed to the war and the vote was something like over 70% in favor. That's huge...Unlike Obamacare, even though passed, the people showed up to town halls and voiced the opinion against it prior to the vote. The people who didn't listen were voted out.

History is on my side and so is my argument......sleep well
