Remaining off-season moves

Remaining off-season moves: Fire Quinntricia.

They get one more year to prove it with their players fully year. No excuses anymore

Injuries last year were huge on offense and defense.

New DC, new ST coordinator. Year 2 with Bevell that looked great for Stafford.

Lions can have 2020 success

Injuries since 1958, eh?

There were some bad teams those years especially Millen years then rebuild from that in 2009/2010.. 90s good teams but no QB.

All good Lions team since 2011 though with seasons ruined by either refs or injuries or sometimes both.

lol...check your temperature...you may be delusional due to a high fever! :lmao:

'12, '18 & '19 were bad teams.

'15 was below average

'13', '16 & '17 were average teams

'11 & '14 were above average teams

I don't think there was a single team that was good in that timeframe. MAYBE 2011 but they still weren't good enough to win the division

Love his burst. At 251 NFL OT?s would destroy him in the running game.....but I?d love him as a passing down specialist until he gets into the 265lb - 270lb range.
I like his upside. He's got to get bigger but the other guy i like for that position will most likely go in the second and that is Josh uche. This team needs pass rushers and i don't feel it's been addressed as much as I'd like and those two guys bring speed and power even if the are only around 255 to 265.

Lions need an edge rusher that has the burst to turn the corner. Haven?t had that since Avril left. Kennard tried to be it, but didn?t have the burst.

I like that kid in the video. Explosive out of his stance and has a good lean when turning the corner. A little small right now but would be an instant upgrade on passing downs.

you never know with these small school guys.

Here is his draft profile breakdown.

Strengths
Showed an ability to dominate his level of competition
Posted 29.5 sacks as three-year starter
Skilled with his hands as rusher
Uses well-timed bull-rush charge to catch off-balance tackles
Smooth punch to counter rip transition
Stiff inside hand to post and circle over top of tackle's pass set
Five batted passes in 2019 alone
Accelerates into the point of attack with some force
Motor is apparent in his pursuit of the football
Upper-body power to pop and tackle on base blockers

Weaknesses
Could struggle with massive jump in competition as a pro
Poor arm length as an edge worker
Unable to rid himself quickly from a landed block
Below-average change of direction and closing burst to the ball
Plays with tight hips and a narrow base
Doesn't possess the suddenness needed to out-quick an NFL blocker
Attacks with face-up rushing style
Lack of knee bend leads to upright, protracted trips around the arc
Spin counter is too elongated and telegraphed

Draft Scout has bumped Tuszka up to the 18th best DE prospect and a projected sixth-round draft pick.

12, 18 and 19 got decimated by injuries.

Refs turned a 6-2 start to 3-4-1 in 2019 (Chiefs game, at Packers game, at Arizona game). 2013 was injury riddled as well. 2018 Lions beat 49ers, Cowboys, Bills and Bears if not for injuries/refs for 10-6 not 6-10

2016 was a good playoff team. Stafford was elite in 2016 and then injured his finger badly on his throwing hand so they lost their last 3 and the playoff game. 2017 was a good team as well as they got screwed over against Atlanta (runoff) and Carolina, Pittsburgh games. They were 12-4. At New Orleans was a crazy game too with Stafford hurt and all those batted ball picks.

2011 and 2014 were great teams. 2011 injuries real late in the season and refs in Falcions/49ers/Packers game turned them from division winner to wild card. Too many secondary injuries to outshoot the Saints but Stafford/Calvin played amazingly even without a RB. 2014 amazing team that the refs screwed against Dallas. L

you are a loser...just like the Lions:cheers:

Just proved the Lions are winners actually. But thanks for the personal insult.

You constantly make up stupid excuses for the Lions and come up with an alternate universe where the Lions were actually good. You come up with loser terms like "true wins" and produce hypothetical records. Every team has to overcome injuries and bad officiating. Good teams will overcome those obstacles.

Your act is old and pathetic.

That act has been old and pathetic for 7 years. He?s either the worlds best internet troll or a complete idiot.

Likely the latter.

It's the truth injuries and refs can affect game outcomes. But anyway

Geronimo Allison decent 4th/5th WR depth signing

For when Marvin gets injured over and over and over again.

He can stay healthy in a contract year. He played 13 games last year as well and was 3rd for all WRs in TD catches. Golladay was first.

WR still a draft option on day 2 clearly since nobody is signed past 2021 though. Golladay needs a long term deal this summer though.

Allison is a turd. There will be better options in the 5th round of the draft. Waste of money and roster spot
