Lions don't have that 7th round pick. Was an error by the NFL

I think the Jags take Walker and Hutchinson will be there for the Lions to take.

I think they take Thibs over Hutchinson.

One source heard from another team (take with a grain of salt) that the Lions have Walker 1 and Thibs 2.

Along with some more buzz about how great the meetings with Thibs have been

Obviously can only base off rumors, but I think it?s still a coin flip at this point if Walker goes 1. Odds are also pretty narrow right now, slightly favoring Hutch. I?m currently buying into all the Thibodeaux smoke right now, but it might just be smoke.

Watched a few film breakdowns and comparisons last night and I honestly would not be upset with either player. Both bring different looks to the defense that the Lions desperately need.

Hutchinson brings immediate impact and I love his technique and arsenal of moves.

Thibs is a bit more unrefined but has all the physical tools to develop into a top-tier pass rusher, love his first step and explosiveness. I think the off-field and effort concerns have been exaggerated too.

Aidan is Jared Allen
Travon Walker is Arik Armstead
Thibs is Myles Garrett slightly worse

From the comparisons I've seen. Aidan or Thibs for me. Walker is fine but not when you could get Jared Allen or Myles Garrett

I don't think any of those 3 players will be as good as the guys you are comparing them to. Aiden is probably the safest but lowest ceiling.

I would prefer Hutchinson......maybe because I saw him play a number of times and know he is going to be a productive player.

Thibs definitely has that "if" attached to him. IF he can be coached to max his potential, he has the athletic measurables to be GREAT. I just hate drafting IF guys. I know it's part of the deal......but if available....I want the Lions to take the sure thing and the guy you know is going to be a leader.

If Jax takes Hutch.....I would prefer Thibs over Walker.

My biggest disappointments tonight will be Walker over Hutch/Thibs at 2 and/or a QB at 32. If they avoid that, I?ll probably be pleased.

Agree here. I would kind of understand a QB at 32 given Goffs contract next year/5th year option. Just hope it doesn't turn into a Josh Rosen situation where Lions go after a better QB next year then and waste pick 32 on a QB not used. If they take a QB at 32, he better end up being a good starter

On the flip side, take a QB at 32 he ends up good and they find like a gem find in Round 5 for a starting safety. And Brisker and Cine and Pitre all end up not being that good or the Round 5 guy we get ends up better than all 3 of them. Kind of like the AO draft pick in Round 5 where you find a starter on day 3. Bonus if Barnes plays lights out this year somehow with coaching and they find a stud LB at 34 or 66 too

You?re funny! I?ll give you that!!

Doesn?t seem like Willis is a realistic option unless we shock the world tonight.

I?m officially hopping on the Thibodeaux train!

We?ll see how it plays out. I just don?t see these QB prospects being more impactful than some of the options at the other positions. Ideally hoping to see several QBs go before 32 so someone good can slip by.

No idea what to expect tonight, I see QBs going all over the place in mocks

- Willis is either going top 10, or 20 to the Steelers
- Pickett is either going 6 to the Panthers or anywhere from 10-32
- Ridder seems to be a popular pick for the Lions at 32, also seeing 10-32
- Corral also has a pretty wide range, Howell to a lesser extent

A good QB can always be very impactful. But agree, it's tough to see a franchise QB in this class right now Hopefully we are all wrong in hindsight if we do take one

I would go WR at 32 (for 5th year option on that) and Safety at 34 (assuming Dean and Lloyd are gone) then LB at 66. But we'll see how the board plays out. DT also a need (so if Wyatt is there at 34), TE 2 and guard depth a need but not huge impact there so pick 97 or later here

I wonder if Holmes will make any trades like he did last year. Get a 4th this year, trade our 5th rounder and 2023 4th rounder

I?m hoping Holmes learned some patience last year. Reports made it seem like he was eager to trade up to get his guy, when he didn?t necessarily have to.

I would be shocked if the Lions don?t pick in the 4th this year, I can?t imagine them watching 80 picks go by after 97. Dropping a few spots from 32 or 34 should be enough to fill that gap.

Report was he liked Ja?Marr Chase and that?s who he really wanted to trade up for. Of course he had to come out and say Sewell since that?s who we ended up drafting but I don?t think that was the case.

Got some fun Draft Prop bets in. A few Long shots for fun!

+3300 Thibs goes #1
+3300 Neal goes #1
+3300 Willis goes #2
+1200 Garrett Wilson top 5

More realistic bets
+130 Dean under 32.5
-120 Thibs under 4.5
-120 Trent McDuffie under 16.5
+170 Carrol before Ridder
+135 Lloyd under 19.5

Added Kyle Hamilton +150 top 10 pick.
