Game #94 Indians @ Detroit July 19th

Will any reporter call Brad out on his decision to bring in Nathan..... 6 fucking pitches from Joba..

Whelp. 2 days, 3 games that might have been winnable ruined by our terrible bullpen (and some help from a suddenly impotent offense.)

They will mumble something like: "Nathan's the closer and he's got to go in there ?"

Rather than: "Joba had a 6-pitch 8th and Nathan is not getting the job done, so why was Nathan on the mound in the game?"

Don Kelly and Danny Worth might be more viable options than Nathan out of the bullpen, hell get Shane Halter out of retirement too.

Even though this team is in first place, I have no emotional connection to it. There are about a half a dozen players I dislike and that never applied even when the teams were pathetic.

I always have an emotional connection to the Tigers. I understand that it is just entertainment. As far as the players...I have zero emotional attachment to any of them. If the team could trade any of them and it would benefit the team today or for the long term....goodbye!

I agree with whoever said they can't really get into this team this year. Even at the beginning of the year, I didn't feel that same burst of energy and hope that I get during spring training. I feel like they downgraded every aspect of their roster, and actually thought they were improvements. I am still baffled by our overall solid record. The past few years, these outbursts of poor play would have me enraged, and you all know it. This year, I'm just waiting for something to get excited about. Even when the Tigers win 5-7 in a row, I don't get pumped.. because I know it will be followed with 3-5 straight losses if not more.

I don't like to blame the manager for putting in a "closer" in the game with a tied game. I do blame the "closer" when he can't throw a strike. Joe Nathan...the ultimate Tiger killer...he did it as a Twin and he is still doing it!

Taking out a vastly superior pitcher and replacing them with an inferior pitcher after throwing 6 pitches is retarded.

Doing so in the 9th inning of a tie game is even more retarded.

Doing so in the 2nd game of a double header, when the bullpen is short, and the game could go into extras, makes it as moronic of a managing decision you will see.

It doesn't matter what fucking title or role you assign to the players.

Ausmus is dumb, he's somehow significantly worse than Leyland. Nathan has been awful, god awful, stop bringing him in in close and late situations.

I never thought Brad would be worse then Jim....Or just as bad at managing a bullpen...

Apparently Joba had some ankle thing after the 8th.

smells like a smoke screen to me to protect Nathan and the idiot manager.. That being said if it was true bring in anybody but the tie game Tiger killer in the 9th inning...

How stupid do they think we are?

Apparently his surgically repaired ankle was sore but Ausmus was otherwise thinking of using him. Whether the 2nd part is true or Ausmus is just covering his ass we'll never know.

So it was not sore before he pitched but it was after? Or it was before and they put him in but six pitches was his limit? Something ain't right here.

Sounds like brad tried the piss down their leg and tell em it's raining explanation tonight, yes brad were all stupid...hey needs to retire Nathan aside did anyone ask brad about the crap offense in this series at all? 7 total runs in 3 games isn't going to win many games either

Or what about the 25-25 record at home, anyone ask brad if the guys are out partying late during home stands or something? Are they getting good sleep at home? Putting to much pressure on themselves to win at home, I mean seriously, this is stupid the home park is suddenly built for the visitors. They just letting teams come into town and walk all over em, where did the mojo go?
