Game 149 Tigers vs. indians September 14

as if on cue this f'n ump calls strike 3 ball 3,
well, 2 out,

Can't help but feel this is all etched in stone with the 9th inning, and geez don't hurt a guy's feelings or confidence taking him out when you can see he is struggling.

Well he got through it and the tigers win! Good job taking care of the Indians tigers!

Now..off to minn, last time they was there those twins scored a shitload of runs on the tigers, let's not let that happen again

I gave warning in last nights game thread about todays f'n bloat ump jerry layne calling balls and strikes.

Gotime,
As for the game threads, I kind of feel most of us are so frustrated with the year the Tigers have had collectively on offense, defense, the bullpen, and singularly with players from the very top of the chain to the 25th man, that with all the one after the other posts of some with the frustration, it has had that kind of effect for some to just stay away or lurk off and on. Can't say as I blame anyone if this be the case.......and here we are in another 9th inning and Nathan is struggling, even with some second half splits that are good; who is obviously not the same pitcher that dominated the Tigers as a twin and ranger.

Yeah, for sure it's not like it's just one or 2 posters. It seems to be the mood of the group this year. I just personally don't get it. We're playing good ball right now when we need to and I'd think that would be enough to lighten up the clan.

I can't feel great about this team if they make the postseason, just because I know for sure Joe Nathan is going to lose at least one game per series.. if the regular season is stressful for him, then he shouldn't be playing anymore. Soria needs some 9th inning reps so he can be ready.

Nathan is just a $10MM version of Todd Jones. Both get the job done mostly, but it's never easy, and when they blow it, they reeeaaalllyyy blow it.

You'd think we'd be used to that style closer by now lol

Fans are tired of coming up short. We want a championship so badly we can taste it. We are less tolerant to failure and team flaws than we have been in the past.

Plus 1.
The Tigers in my lifetime have won 2 World Series. But damn, such a long time ago in 68 when I was 21 and in 84. Honestly, at this stage of life, I can't help but feel like I am running out of time to enjoy another here with all of you.
The Lions are a different animal and frustration level altogether.

Detroit 83-66 Kansas City 81-66. Still tied in the lose column. But now KC has to win the 2 game difference.

KC is about to be 1 game back in the loss column, and don't forget, they are still down 4-2 in that game they have to finish.

KC also have their final 7 games all on the road. Our final 7 are at home. As long as we have a lead at the time we reach those final 7, we should be in great shape.

Bases loaded for royals bottom 9th, f'n ump has a strike zone tighter than a bulls ass in horsefly season.

I don't think it just Nathan. Verlander has been off. Sanchez been hurt. Porcello drop off lately. Price hasn't been as great as every one would have liked. And the over all bull pen has been a downer.
When the Offence goes south well not much to root for. And we all knew the D would not be great.
I did not know how but I did/have thought the Tigers would win the Division. And win 90+ games. And they very well still can do that. But the way they have been doing it has been like how in the world have they been doing it. When they're good there good when they're bad wow is me, there bad.

After a strike zone tighter than a bull's behind during horse fly season the ump in the sox/royals game calls 2 strikes on pitches half a foot outside by the gameday on the last batter.

I was #RonnieRedSox this weekend but now need a couple of aspirin + valium.
Tigers lead is 1 1/2 games on the royals. 1 up in loss column

Ausmus said a blister "flared up" on Justin Verlander again, but he doesn't expect it to be an issue going forward.

JD Martinez had another big day v. Indians - drove in runs w/ HR and single...in 61AB/16G v. Clev. this year: .328/.738SLG w/ 7HR and 20RBI

one of the few games the BP did a great job in extended innings this year lol.

Nathan is really going to give up atleast 1 run in every game isn't he?..its like watching valverde all over again

Nathan had gone 6 straight games without giving up a run...so today seemed almost inevitable.
