I think Cooter is getting an easy pass now that everyone seems to blame the previous norun coordinator.

Doesn't this feel exactly like Quinn bringing back Caldwell? Fans all know the guy can't get it done, but management is either scared to rock the boat or have simply missed out on better options already.

Even though Patricia is busy with NE, I suspect if he wanted someone else he would have let JBC go already. Even though they said he had no say I suspect Matt is the reason JBC is still here.

This. I think JBC has much more potential to be good at his job than Caldwell did.

It's not a terrible idea to listen to your franchise player, and Matt really has been his best these last few years. But like Caldwell, it should be increasingly obvious how much is being left on the field.

Over 24 PPG with Cooter. 21 with Linehan/Lombardi
42 turnovers compared to 82 in 41 with Linehan and Lombari


Cooter is a good OC despite the run game issues. Stafford is great now, pass game is great and Oline can be good with health. This should bring more run game.

Yeah it was beyond bad. Hopefully its just a aberration and maybe he did mircle work with how bad that defsnse was the first 4 games until last night . I'm still worried ... But oh well...

OL coach: Jeff Davidson
QB coach: George Godsey
TE coach: Chris White
Defensive coordinator: Paul Pasqualoni
Al Golden moves from TE coach to LB coach
DB coach: Brian Stewart

That still leaves a few positions left unfilled. Detroit still doesn’t have a defensive line coach, and it’s unclear if they’re going to have separate coaches for cornerbacks and safeties like they did last year.
