DET Dylan Smith was fun tonight. 4 innings, 7 strikeouts that all come on fastballs. Was mostly 94-95. Got burned once on an elevated fastball for a HR. Showed a low-80?s CB an upper-80?s SL looked good when used earlier in counts. Did show the CH too.

Tigers have signed Central Michigan alum, Cam Brown, according to his social media.

Brown, 23 is a 6?2, 190-pound RHP who spent 2020-2021 in the NWL and Frontier League.

Beau Brieske will become the first Detroit Tigers starting pitcher to start a game who was drafted in the 27th round since left-hander George Cappuzzello did on May 31st, 1981 per @baseball_ref. He was drafted in 1972.
