Matt Shepard drove fans away from Detroit Tigers TV broadcasts over the past few seasons. Newcomer Jason Benetti has flourished in his new role alongside Craig Monroe, and watching Tigers games is fun again.

I was wondering why they are starting Manning today vs. Skubal. Maybe they want Skubal to get the home opener??
 
this game feels like it's going to be a letdown. A ton of pressure on Manning with virtually no bull pen to rely on.

Def. want Skubal opening day. I hate him having all this rest though.. I'll be 8 days between starts.

Same for them but worse. Plus Chafin only threw 13 pitches and they did just have two days off.

Same. He was scheduled to start yesterday but that game got moved to this evening. My guess is they wanted to bring up a starter vs a bull pen arm, so they moved Skubal vs moving Mize to tomorrow.
 
Hopefully he settles in now. Wish he'd trust his stuff more. Always trying to nibble. Needs to attack
