This team isn't winning anything this year. The window has closed. Hope to be wrong, and will gladly eat crow, but too many shithead swings from too many undisciplined hitters.

That is obvious from them being last in the league with a runner on 3rd base and less than 2 outs. But it is also a product of putting together a team that does not get on base (aside from Miggy and V-Mart when healthy), work counts or hit behind the runner.

If at the start of the season, if someone asked if DET could go to the playoffs with Verlander, VMart and Avila all being on the DL at the same time, I bet the majority would answer negative.
