Jeffrey Epstein matter reopened... going to get ugly

Trump is a pedophile. the Kompromat must be revolting. I can't wait for him to die (sooner or later) just to expose the rotten core of his family and all they falsely stand for. I'd also spit in his face, given the chance.

That’s a lot of hate you got going on there, markets at all times highs again that has to be good no?

Does the fact that markets are at all time highs make you happy?

I don't think I ever truly realized how materialistic and acquisitive America was until this administration.

I always knew, but the gap in priority is so much larger in my eyes. I don't blame Trump, I just think by disposing of the pleasantries and fake morale high ground, the picture was made much clearer.

Trump did ______...but the markets.

Trump said _______...but the economy.

It's the new 'But Obama...'

what??? You have to be kidding.

I think some of us who grew up in the 80's have no reference to a less materialistic America. consumer abundance and ubiquitous advertising is normal.

When we watched a lot of netflix and streaming videos, I actually had a thought that my kids were missing out on a lot of advertising, like I had growing up, before reminding myself "That is a GOOD thing."

America has gotten pretty shitty over the last 30+ years!

Though while consumer junk & trash has gotten cheaper, big ticket items people actually need (houses, cars, boats, college, decent healthcare) have all gotten more expensive. God Bless America.

In Epstein-related news, deformed weasel attorney Bill Barr recused himself from any investigation into Acosta's past conduct around the plea deal. Trump can't he happy with that. means there's a chance a good-faith investigation could happen, rather than letting Barr white wash it.

Acosta himself is pointing the fingers at everyone else (including the victims).

No I made the mistake of investing in chicken coops and shitty gold stocks, I just figured victors being in the industry and once expressing displeasure over a bad week in the market that having it all rebounded and onto new highs would have lessened his hate a little bit.

There was a time when it was said that one could never go wrong with chicken coops.

health care (primarily due to misguided regulation) and education (primarily due to artificially low interest rates and lack of accountability in university spending) are out of control but people don't actually need college. It's a luxury, particularly when we're talking about most of the useless liberal arts degrees.

the rate of price increases per square foot on homes from 1963 to 2008 was 4.2%, that's below the rate of inflation which was 4.4% during that same period.

no, they need cars, to get the fuck out before the hurricanes hit!

They tried evacuating all of Houston once (I think Hurricane Rita in '05) and more people died during the evacuation than the actual hurricane. The roads got completely choked to a standstill - even with all highways converted to outbound lanes - and a dozen or so people ran out of gas and died of heatstroke.

that's why they didn't order an evacuation for Harvey.

There are ~ 3MM people in Houston an its near suburbs... tough to get them all out.

Even less populated cities have the same problem; people burned to death in their cars in CA, and Paradise was only a few thousand people (IIRC)

If a major calamity ever strikes your city, you better be among the first out, or you're fucked.

If?

I?ve lived through riots and earthquakes and fires, and with the sanitation situation caused by the homeless crisis we?re on the verge of medieval level plagues of contagious disease and pestilence.

If, the guy says, for fuck sake.

people need boats?

yes, like climate change is going to like flood like everything in like 12 years. Like thats why we need like socialism because like in 12 years like, boats will be like super expensive.
