MSU Football recruiting

IMG Academy, FL TE Jack Camper Commits to MSU. Great athlete, raw at 6-6, but a ton of upside.

Big commit coming soon. Kevin Jarvis, 6-5, 330 lb 4 star OG had an amazing visit this week and named us his clear leader.

Lyke sent out a v4MSU tweet well after Jarvis committed

More than one source had tweets suggesting we got another commit after Jarvis. I think it's Rison as I think he is canceling his visit to Oklahoma.

2016 class ended up 18 on rivals but #12 in terms of average star ranking, it's tough to be top 10 or close to it when you only take 19 kids. schools like florida, texas, baylor, UCLA, etc had lower star rankings but took up to 29 kids so they're all ahead of us.

How good is OSU's class shaping up? So good that they have asked top 200 RB, 4 star commit, Todd Sibley to Gray Shirt. He likely won't and we lead for him if he doesn't want to Gray Shirt.

OH OG Matt Carrick committed today.

This weekend at least 1 and as many as 5 more commitments are likely.

Langston Frederick, TX CB is supposed to drop. Ran a 4.49 laser timed 40 and his recruitment is about to blow up, the staff loves him.

Recruiting rankings are silly. Case in point. OSU 4 star RB commit Todd Sibley, a top 150 player visited MSU this weekend. He did not leave with an offer, instead, MSU offered a kid they like better, Weston Bridges. Bridges is likely to commit in the next week or two, he's a mid 3 star and top 750 player. Our coaches know better than the services. Word is we are not likely to ever offer Sibley.

we like Bridges as a linebacker, Sibley as a running back.

Not true, you're thinking of Darien Clemens who is a RB, but we like him at LB. Bridges is the top RB on our board. Sibley is not likely to get an offer.

Clemens and Bridges will join the class this week.
