Preseason Game 4: Bills @ Lions Thread

If Moore shows nothing this game I hope he is out.

Have an extra spot to carry another wr or rb that can contribute on special teams and have an upside

Returner, FB, 4th/5th WR, 4th RB, 3rd TE, if we keep Moore and 5th DT or 5th DE. All huge for this game.

Zenner looking human. Hopefully the defense looks a little less shaky on this 2nd drive.

*edit* That 2nd drive will have to wait. Buffalo just made a super silly mistake to extend the drive.

Why is Whitehead playing so much with the bubble guys? He was in the entire 4th quarter last game.

Didn't watch the game but does 1.8 rushing yards per attempt as bad as it sounds?

Zenner and Winn had no yards barely. Bah...who cares? The job goes to Zenner hands down, at least he got in the endzone

Terrible blocking. Zenners first three carries there were multiple defenders 2-3 yards in the backfield.

Nothing to worry about since not many of those guys will be on the team in a couple days.

At this point you may keep Zenner over Winn still, but really does not matter. Regardless you hope neither one has to see the field much.

Way to use the most meaningless preseason game with the worst players on both teams as your predictor of how terrible Nyquil is and hope he never gets a carry.

Hate on, man...hate on.

I just said you don't want your #4 RB seeing the field much in the regular season. I don't see that as incorrect.

You said he was out with the worst players, which wouldn't that make him one of the worst.

Its a battle for #4 RB, it has almost no impact on how the team will do this year, which is why it does not matter.

Any word on Salis? I saw he was hurt?

-- Receiver Greg Salas was carted to the locker room after sustaining a knee injury in the first half, a gut-wrenching turn of events for a guy who was putting together a strong camp. He had an outside chance at a roster spot, at best, but had played himself into the conversation with 10 catches for 138 yards and one touchdown in the preseason. He was leading the Lions in receiving against Buffalo when he crumpled to the turf with the knee injury.

Couldn't disagree with you more.

While Zenner is a good story, has potential to develop, and deserves to make this team.....the hope is that NO 4th string anything has to see the field.

I don't want to see Zenner or Don Carey or Kellen Moore or Travis Lewis or whoever wins the 5th WR spot to see ANY significant playing time this year. If they do, it means we have had major injuries to starters and even reserves.

It's not hate.

Saying you don't want him to see the field is hating on him. He has potential, but because he was undrafted you don't want him to touch the ball. Kid deserves touches in real games to see what he can do, saying he doesn't is being a Hater. If he fails, they give him less or replace him. If he does well, he could potentially be #2 RB...yes, above Riddick and Bell. Likely he is going to be between those extremes and a solid #3 back this year with potential to be #2 in future years. Have to see what he can do though, not waste the opportunity by never giving him the ball.
