Tigers vs Guardians Game 162 October 1 2023

2nd or 3rd pitch Vest threw and the ball will you find you !

Grounder to miggy and he backhands it and beats runner to the bag. Lots of tears as AJ removes him from the lineup.

I have those proud Tigers tears as well yesterday and today with all the stories and videos. I won't see another pure hitter with foul pole to foul pole power like Miggy, you guys might and hope you do. Miggy Played on guts and heart the last 6 years with a messed up ankle leg shoulder arm knee.

Haven't made a post here this entire season, but I have to now.

That was incredible. I also wish to thank Miggy for absolutely everything he did for the team, the fans, and for this city.

He will never be replaced.

I definitely did my share of crying there. Backhand's a grounder was an awesome way to end his playing career.

Many to say Thank you for doing this 2023 season of Tigers Game Threads.

Thank you and Big Shout Out to Byco for all your game threads and added information,

Thank you and Shout Outs to Bob for game threads with many posts on the Tigers record vs. all teams, Mitch for game threads, Tigermud, and I know several other posters who filled in when the game thread was needed.

Our Tigers improved from last year, and if they had played .500 vs. the A.L. East instead 7 and 25, we could have been a .500 team.

Let's get the two players we wanted up here for September in 2024 and sign a FA pitcher and maybe one middle tier FA to fill a position and see how they do.

The Tigers (78-84) finished the season with their best record and highest place in the standings since 2016. They went 18-10 in September and October; 39-34 after the All-Star break; and 76-75 following a 2-9 start to the season in April.

The paid attendance of 41,425 on Sunday was the Tigers? second straight sell-out at Comerica Park. It?s the first time that the Tigers have had consecutive home sellouts since August 26-28, 2014, against the Yankees.
