Tigers vs Padres April 13th

With his two hits today, Rajai Davis has extended his hitting streak to seven games. #tigers

what a good ballplayer, and to think I used to call him chunky butt when he was with the A's.

and with that home run good guy Don Kelly starts helping the clubhouse attendants load the Tigers equipment on the bus.

Well, we can get 4 runs off Huston Street, but wish we could have gotten 1 or 2 now.

In records dating back to 1914, Max Scherzer is the first #Tigers pitcher to strike out 10 or more in 5.0 innings pitched or less.

GTFO of dodge.
what was that line on Miggy on this 5 game west coast road show of horrors 2 for 20??

Tigers have 2 more west coasts trips, and one vs the angels,....not sure I want to watch if Porcello pitches in that series.

Crappy end of the trip. 2-3 isn't the end of the world though.

It isn't really, but just the way that first game of this series went and today, first game iirc there was a stat saying the pitcher didn't throw any or very few FB, all off speed and holds them to 1 hit.

Joba's velo up to 95.6 avg today. Threw 2 CH, matching his 2013 total.
Among 3 relievers, Chamberlain stood out - his FB is a consistent 95-96, has sharp slider. He K'd 2, and now 5 of last 7 batters he's faced. encouraging.

DET is 5-1 in games this year when Cabrera gets a hit. 1-3 when he doesn't.
