NHL trade deadline is February 26 this season.

I was going to post the tradebait list from TSN but unfortunately its a month out of date. At that time Nyquist and Howard were listed in the top 10.

Reported Detroit is shopping around Jensen hence his increased ice-time the past couple weeks.

Instead let's start with today's trade and a couple from the weekend.

Dallas acquire:
Andrew Cogliano

Anaheim acquire
Nathan Shore

Tampa acquire:
Jan Rutta

7th round pick [CHI 2019]

Chicago acquire:
Slater Koekkoek
5th round pick [2019]

Arizona acquire:
Jordan Weal

Philly acquire:
Jacob Graves
6th round pick [2019]

Ottawa acquire:
Morgan Klimchuk [from Toronto]
Cody Goloubef [ from Boston]

Toronto acquire:
Gabriel Gagne [from Ottawa]

Boston acquire:
Paul Carey [from Ottawa]

There was a few trades involving Edmonton before that.

Apart from the Dallas-Anaheim trade it was mostly minor leaguers. Koekkoek is the biggest piece moved from the ones below and he is only a 7th d-man at the moment.

I saw that during last game that Howard was #2 in save percentage vs the Western Conference whatever that's worth. It's over .930. .

Minnesota acquire Pontus Aberg

Ducks acquire Justin Kloos

Aberg is a solid middle 6 scoring forward who is around 0.5 points per game.
Kloos is 25 and hasn't broken into the NHL but has been tearin up the AHL this season. Kind of a curious trade for Anaheim considering they are trading a known NHLer for a stab at what Kloos will develop into. Aberg is the same age as Kloos.

Can we move Howard or anyone ? We should get as many picks and young guys as possible!

Hmmm good question.

Never looked into that one before.

Only reason Holland got such a good deal on Tatar cause it was literally a list minute trade.

But than again, Green wasn't traded cause he got hurt before the deadline.

I might take a look if I have time on weekend.

Dallas re-acquires:
Jamie Oleksiak

Pittsburgh acquires:
4th round pick [2019]

I am seriously going to laugh if it is the same pick they traded to acquire him.

LMAO, it was the same pick. Basically rented Oleksiak for free.

Now the big trade.

Toronto acquire:
Jake Muzzin

LA acquire:
1st round pick [2019]
Carl Grundstrom
Sean Durzi

Man this is such a steal for Toronto. Muzzin has another year left on his deal. Combine that with the tiny cap of 4 million for a top pairing D, I mean steal steal steal.
